Havent posted here in forever but i read oyasumi punpun and turns out theres a whole debate on whos fault it was , aiko or punpun.
aiko did idealize punpun as a saviour from her mother and some say she manipulated him but i dont entirely see that, in any case, punpun idealized her actions which those of a little girl because thats the only thing he knew her as, a little girl.
In his head the normal aiko, boring and storyless isnt of any importance, he just wants that little girl that he met back in school. Apart from that, he learned abuse from his dad towards his mom and used it against aiko.
in my opinion, aiko deserved better, but she wasnt any near perfect either.
