There are all sorts of reasons to love the Aosta Valley in Italy—and its secret weapon has got to be its stunning scenery. What better way to marvel at the mountains from a unique perspective than to go on board the Skyway Monte Bianco gondola. Offering a 360-degree exhilarating spectacle from its panoramic viewpoint Punta Helbronner, at 3,462 metres above sea level, tourists can count 14 peaks that stand at more than 4,000 metres high. The most striking for me were Aiguille Noire (3773 metres, 1st photo), Dente del Gigante (4014 metres, 3rd photo), Mont Maudit (4468 metres, 4th photo) and, of course, Mont Blanc (4468 metres, 5th photo). Skyway is also home to the world's longest lift-served run, the Vallée Blanche, so expect to find plenty of skiers excited at the prospect of descending this off-piste ski area. ⛷ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: From Aosta, catch a bus to Courmayeur and then change for Entrèves.
