Today Maryland via @larryhogan became the second state in 🇺🇸to ban the sale of #puppymill 🐶in pet shops. California was first. 🌟 🌟 #adoptdontshop matters, but we have always had a proclivity for also advocating for the support of #legislativechange bc in the 🇺🇸 #government was created to support the views of the people, and the ability to #amendlaws was something our #foundingfathers recognized in 1787 #forthepeoplebythepeople 🌟 🌟 Thank you @sengianaris for proposing similiar legislation for #newyorkcity we are watching you #albany and @kirstengillibrand @chuckschumer and @cynthiaenixon as you campaign, remember the voters who have 🐶bc NEW YORKER LOVE DOGS let's make 🍎🚖🍎 NEXT. 🌟 🌟 Those who cannot speak deserve our LOUDEST voices. 7/10/17 @goodkarmapetrescue FRENCHIE'S ARE JUST POCKET PIBBLES RIGHT? Meet Maya who joined our rescue today. ❤️She was purchased from a pet store as a puppy. She is now just 6yrs old and her spinal condition has progressively gotten worse where has lost the use of her back legs. She was living outside in the dirt and heat, as her owner could no longer deal with her special needs and potty accidents. Fortunately, her owner reached out to find a better situation for her and we didn't hesitate to say yes. We are unsure if there is any hope of Maya regaining the use of her back legs but we are committed to finding out if there are any medical options for her. If not, we will do whatever it takes to improve her quality of life so that she is cared for and loved for the rest of her life. She went to one of our primary vets today and had x-rays done and tomorrow she will visit the neurologist for a consult. If you'd like to donate towards Maya's care, we would be so grateful (link in bio). 😳Our foster brother 🐶Vincenzo got us in 🚨trouble🚨 because Mommy says he smiles EVERY time she do something nice and we need to start looking more "grateful" 🙄and wipe dem "what's next" expressions off our "smug mugs." 😡Clearly da ONLY conclusion is 👺Mommy 👹HATES us and ONLY ❤️'s loves Vinny. So, Giuseppe and I might run away, fyi. If you want to foster us, please apply here. Ok, bye. . . . Vincenzo Update: 1) Back legs are not lame; it WAS atrophy from being caged for eight years. He is curiously athletic, and can jump on and off bed and couch at will. . 2) His eyeballs nearly exploded w/ wonder when he experienced cheese for the first time🧀🧀🧀 . 3) We were nervous about giving him the first 🛁bath🛁 he has ever experienced in his LIFETIME, but....to our shock, he was pleased as punch and loved the disco ducks. . 4) He has made SHEEP his girlfriend🐑🐑 . 5) Finally slept last night on his new orthopedic mattress, and when we woke up, he was still there, but snuggling a 🐥which means at some point during night, he got up, found chicken, and brought back to bed to snuggle.💙 . 6) Loves all pharmacy Easter toys 🐇that sing and move when you touch their paws. Entranced. . 7) Closer to me (bc I am da Baby Jesus) 😇but plays more with Giuseppe. . 8) Supposedly 8 years old, but acts like he is between 2-3 years old. . 9) Still cowers when humans approach as if he expects them to hit him, 😥but this morning Mommy walked by him a few times and he was smiling and did not flinch. . 10) Enjoys making unnerving eye-contact, and very expressive. 🚨Account Takeover By Luigi & Giuseppe's Mom @anishanyc 🚨 . . I decided to foster Vincenzo only two weeks ago. I was born in #india , but raised in 🤘New Jersey, so this is the music I choose to express myself best when my heart has been touched to its deepest core. It has. ❤️ ❤️ I have read I am supposed to write brief captions on instagram. I am a writer. I don't do brief. ❤️ ❤️ I have heard people prefer to scroll and don't have time to read and watch videos. That we live in an #add nation. Not our people. You read and write and take the time and it has restored my faith in the kindness of strangers and the ability to form bonds across the globe. ❤️ ❤️ I am a teacher who has been schooled by a tiny little guy from a Missouri #puppymill to learn what true love really is....a writer who still struggles to capture in words how special he is...what an unlikely source for such a lesson.
