Laura is a nihilist, but not really in a smarter-than-thou manner; rather someone who has seen the worst of people and has been hurt so deeply it almost broke her.

Now, she doesn’t want redemption in any way, shape, or form. She sees herself as an irredeemable creature that is beyond salvation, one that’s nothing more than a corpse walking, and disregards any attempts made at her because she just says she deserves it and that’s that. She hurts people because now she’s the one in control. She embraces her own evil, comforting herself that she’s not what they wanted to make her; she’s better, and way, way worse.

She hides behind this facade of wickedness, that she’s the one to blame now, while also blaming everyone at the same time. Because if she doesn’t, nothing would mean anything. None of her suffering or the suffering she’s caused would mean anything.

She boasts about her evil deeds to fervent herself as a monster, because she is most scared of the possibility that she could fix herself. That there’s still something inside her, and that she would actually have to face what she’s done, what she went through. While she knows what harm she’s caused, has seen it in every single one of her victims’ eyes, knows what they felt, the fear, the hatred, she doesn’t want to face why she’s done it.

She doesn’t want to explore herself. If she just plunges deeper, she can brush all her suffering off as something deserved, something that isn’t more complex than punishment. If she just plunges deeper, she has control over what will happen to her. She decides what will happen to her.

She doesn’t want to heal, she’s scared to, because the unknown is terrifying, and she forgot what it’s like not to bleed.

After a rough day at work.

Both are obviously going to spoil you 😏

So I'm going to pretend this is happening in the tower (everyone lives) so because everything is state of the art/Tony has sensors in the tub, so the water never gets cold. This means Bucky and I can stay in there as long as we want.

Laughing, talking, me resting on his warm chest as I trace the gold designs in his arm. He would wash/condition my hair (very gently because it's really curly).

Music playing in the background as he tells me about his favorite singers from the 40's. He sings offkey until I laugh and nudge him in the belly to get him to quit.

We have FRIDAY activate the tv in the wall across from us and we watch a movie while he rubs my shoulders.

He'll carry me out of the tub and dry me off. His large hands will apply my lotion and I'll put it on him as well because I like it when he smells like vanilla and cherry.

We don't even get dressed except for the pair of boxers he puts on me before we get under the sheets. Bucky tucks me into his side, my leg over his, his hand on my belly.

He tells me how much he loves me, kissing me as I drift off to sleep.
