some silly little hcs for them:
aria’s father refuses to let her get piercings because she’s fifteen and still needs parental permission, so obviously aria’s solution was to just pierce herself. somehow she’s avoided infections with the piercings because of magic, but she absolutely did infect herself with a stick and poke.
aria leaves gum under classroom tables because she forgets she’s chewing it, panics mid-lesson, and hides it there because she doesn’t want to get in trouble. this is made funnier by the fact that she already has multiple detentions for much worse things.
aria is allergic to strawberries but has absolutely no idea. she just keeps eating them and going “why does my mouth feel weird?” like that’s a normal strawberry experience.
aria always smells like smoke, oil, and vanilla for some reason. no one knows why. not even her.
she is constantly in trouble for uniform violations. genuinely incapable of wearing her uniform correctly for more than ten minutes.
aria has no stamina and hates sports with her whole soul. she doesn’t play anything, she doesn’t want to play anything, she only watches Slytherin matches and considers that enough athletic involvement for one lifetime.
she has ongoing beef with Madam Pince, who once threw a book at her, and aria has treated it like a personal feud ever since.
aria once accidentally set fire to her bed curtains.
she gets good grades, so she has people pay her to write essays for them because she can copy handwriting scarily well.
aria falls down at least one staircase every other day. Hogwarts stairs are her natural predator.
in third year, aria decided one of the suits of armour was her boyfriend and spoke to it every time she passed it.
briar’s first sentient carnivorous plant was a complete accident and she immediately passed out when she realised what she’d made.
briar smells like spices, dirt, and lavender.
she’s really good at practical Herbology, but absolutely not theory, so her grades are still painfully average even though she’s amazing with actual plants.
briar has multiple pairs of glasses that she takes extremely good care of. some of them she doesn’t even wear, she just bought them because they were pretty.
briar once accidentally got a contact high once because aria was smoking in the dorm. aria was completely fine and chilling while briar was twitchy, paranoid, and convinced something terrible was happening.
briar went through a really horrible, extremely cringe emo phase in fourth year and nobody is allowed to bring it up. ever.
her favourite films are Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty, and she makes aria rewatch them over and over.
briar steals aria’s lighters because she thinks they’re pretty.
briar calls her creepy carnivorous plants her babies and treats them like actual children, which is deeply unsettling to everyone except her.
briar also randomly quotes muggle films all the time, which confuses the absolute fuck out of aria because aria is a pureblood and has no clue what she’s talking about.
