Some purple pepper for the week

This purple pepper is fun! It looks gorgeous. It could have been a tad bit more ripe. I guess we should let them get darker? Maybe cooking would bring out flavor? (The sweet banana peppers are much more flavorful cooked.) These sweet purple peppers surprised me. When the fruits started forming, I thought something was wrong because they were turning purple too quickly. But apparently, unlike red peppers that reach full size still green and only then turn red as they fully ripen, these guys jump on the purple wagon almost out of the gate!
