Us to my dad yesterday: Okay my dude, we are exhausted, we need a day off.

My dad: Oh totally, a nice easy day today. I absolutely get it.

Me squinting because I know my dad, because I am my dad: Sure....the good dr cox and beastie are going to the basement to paint dioramas, I’m going to go get groceries with mom.

My dad WHO IS 73 WITH TWO HIP REPLACEMENTS: Awesome, I’ll do a little puttering in your garden.

Puttering apparently = pulling all the dead limbs off the backyard tree, and using a ladder and rope to remove the 20 foot limb off our front tree that was overhanging our neighbour’s garage.

I just rearranged my kitchen cabinets for the second time in... 2020? maybe? i did it quite recently, is what i’m saying. anyway. things are starting to feel more cohesive, plus there’s a dedicated snack cabinet now. :)
