this! is! the first! post! Im planning on doing one post each for my tangles and putty, plus maybe an additional one or additional individual ones for some favourites/stand outs, i havent decided yet
Very broadly! Here is my stim toy collection!! I obviously have very strong preferences about what types i like lol, i have tried several different types of stim/fidget toys and theres only a few that really work for me, which obviously means i have to get So Many of them
[Image description:
Image 1 of 4) a wide shot of a collection of stim toys against a yellow-green background. from left to right, there is a a small wooden chest of tangles, some of which are in a green crocheted bag and a die-cast special edition tangle is in it’s box to the right of the chest; in front of the chest are six squishy mochi animals, a fish, chicken, whale, turtle, moose, and fox; in front of the animals are seven bike chain fidget toys by fidgetland organized by size, from left to right they are the stephie, ninny, rizzle, rizzle, ninny, noah, and jimbasu; to the right of these are several tins of putty arranged in an approximate square by crazy aaron’s, orb factory, and nickelodeon, there are seven large crazy aaron’s tins, two large and four small orb factory tins, one small nickelodeon tin, five tins from aaron’s glow in the dark mixed-by-me kit, 3 mini aaron’s tins, and four orb factory shaped container packages in the shapes of a rainbow, a flower, a butterfly, and a crystal cluster; to the right of the puttys are three containers of slime, one large, two small, one small container of cloud putty, and a container of kinetic sand in the shape of a clam shell. Image 2 of 4) a close up, lower angle image of the chest of tangles, mochi animals, and bike chain fidgets.
Image 3 of 4) a close up image of the slimes, cloud putty, and kinetic sand. the large container of slime is orb factory’s unicorn rainflo, the small container in front is orb factory’s extreme glitters, and the second small container is a generic orange slime. the cloud putty is to the right of the three slimes, and the kinetic sand is in front of the group.
Image 4 of 4) a close up image of the puttys; from left to right starting at the top of the square is aaron’s super scarab, northern lights, enchanting unicorn, sunburst , and orb’s sapphire. in the second row is aaron’s super fly, super oil slick, celebrate!, and orb’s silver, ruby, and cosmos. in the third row are the tins from aaron’s mixed-by-me kit, of which there is one medium sized rainbow tie-dye patterned tin, and four smaller ones that (left to right) have been coloured yellow, purple, green, and orange; then orb’s glow-flow, nickelodeon’s star gaze confetti liquid lava putty, and orb’s electric. in the fourth row are the mini tins of aaron’s hot pink, super fly, and power surge, and the orb’s shaped tins.

What is this Magnetic Putty?
Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Magnetic Putty
Recently, we received this Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty tin from a friend as a gift for my son. The name of this putty is Strange Attractor and it is a magnetic putty. The diameter of the tin is about 4 inch. Pretty much the size of an adult’s palm. Inside the tin, there is a fair amount of putty and a piece of magnetic.
The color of the putty is greenish black. It works like play-doh, but it is not scented, and it remains soft even after a few times we played with it.
Play-Doh vs Putty
When my children were still small, I wanted to let them try modeling clay, and I let them do Play-Doh. Play-Doh is advertised everywhere, so we almost automatically go to Play-Doh for modeling clay.

Then, problems came.
The Play-Doh dries out, it became very hard to mold and the children stressed out. Moreover, when play-doh dried out, it became brittle, and wouldn’t come together anymore. The debris became to drop here and there and everywhere. The parents stressed out…
Well, it’s all my personal preference, I decided to give away all the play-doh we had.
Putty is an Alternative to Play-Doh
I have to admit that modeling clay is a great idea for children. It is especially good to develop children’s fine motor skills and creativity.
Since Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty came to our home, we figured that Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty is very similar to Play-Doh. Of course, you’re not going to mold a putty, because given its soft texture, the molding is not going to stay. However, the way you squeeze, churn, press, etc, is the same as working on Play-Doh.
I also did some research over the brand Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty. The ingredients of the putty are non-toxic. They are safe for everyone, even children (under adult supervisions), and they are safe for people who are allergic to eggs, gluten, nuts, etc.
Pros of Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty
Never dries out
Non-toxic
Safe for everyone
Cons of Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty
There was a side story of playing with the Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty. The putty got onto the clothes accidentally. Although we’re able to get rid of the putty from the clothes, we’re not able to get rid of the stain.
Should I buy Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty?
I highly recommend Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty. It is a great toy and best gift for children, teenagers, boys and girls, even adults!
