Ceremony

A wedding ceremony I guess

Ceremony

Atem smiled as Yugi joined him on the docks, a small group of friends and family around them. The various kaiju bonded to their friends were also there, along with their own. Godzilla purred a lilting growling purr in his joy, while Mothra's musical trill joined from beside the lizard.

He could feel Godzilla's joy, doubling his own. This wasn't just a marriage ceremony for he and Yugi, it was for their kaiju too. A bonding ceremony pairing off not just the humans, but the kaiju too.

Yugi glowed, Mothra's soft glow tinting his pale skin with a soft blue hue. He was beautiful, breathtaking, and everything Mothra's human should be. He slid his hands easily into Atem's, fitting like they were made to.

In low voices, they promised each other the world, love eternal. Both spoke for themselves, and for their kaiju. Atem's and Godzilla's soft sweet words for Yugi's and Mothra's ears alone.

When the final vow was spoken, Atem pulled Yugi close, dipping him as he kissed. Godzilla shared a gentle nuzzle with Mothra, the pair cooing at each other. Their humans smiled at each other.

Okay, deep breaths now. Empty your mind. Focus on the moment. Focus on your magic, the core of your being. Now, push yourself out into the universe. Let yourself be open to any being in the metaphysical realm.

Oh. Something came in. it seems… aggressive. Well, that won’t due. He poured out all of his intentions, his hopes for their partnership, maybe even their friendship?

He felt the being consider his offer before coming with him to the physical realm.

Yugi opens his eyes, and sees the striking red-eyed man before him. He gives the other his blood (which he did before the ceremony, ‘cause he knows that he would be dizzy from summoning to do it after the fact), the being accepted it.

He turned to his instructors, only for them to look at him with awe and fear in their eyes.

That was how Yugi Mouto, a second-year of Domino Magical Academy, managed to summon Atem, the god of darkness, as his familiar.
