Seamus had always known he was a boy, and after his father had learned that wizards and dragons were real the revelation that his daughter was actually his son was really not the most shocking surprise about his new family. They bought him new clothes, got him a hair cut, and made sure his knew just how much he was loved. 

Dean knew he was gay when he was thirteen and watched Seamus burn his eyebrows off but grin anyways. There was a spark that grew into a fire that grew into Dean’s first crush. He didn’t tell his mom until after his seventh year, after the war, after his father was dead. His mother hugged him and loved him and everything was okay.

Dean and Seamus got together after the war. They had had years dancing around each other and around their feelings but had learned to stop letting chances slip by. They had too many scars that proved too many close calls to let this go without telling the other how they feel. But they survived, even with their scars, and they’re healing. Together.
