Doyeon was browsing through articles on the web when she happened to read the netizens comments on a thread. A particular comment caught her attention and she must’ve read it out loud enough for her friend to hear.  

Startled by the other lady’s response, she couldn’t help but let out a small laughter, hitting the younger on the arm while she’s at it. “Ah no! It’s not about me or you,” Thankfully, she thought. She knew words can hurt, be it verbally or not. Yet, she finds it such a pity that people uses spiteful words mercilessly. “It was an article on how a lady’s life changed after going under the knife several times. She got herself a job with a good pay, she has many guys going after her and such.” 

“Wait a second, did you think I was reading off a comment about me on the web so you pulled a mentor slash mother slash older sister speech? Awwww, Siyeon,” Doyeon couldn’t help but to find the younger’s actions adorable and expressed it by hugging Siyeon’s head. “I wouldn’t let comments get to me and you shouldn’t too! Stay resilient even though it might be hard sometimes! And always remember, that love outweighs hatred and there are a lot of people who loves you including me! Hehe. I love you.”

Lensed orbs enflame with surprise and worry as they focus on the fabric, once a perfect and clean white now sporting a splatter of dark brown hue thanks to the iced americano deciding that her shirt is a better object to settle on rather than staying inside the plastic cup it was made for or even her stomach after it goes through the awaiting plump lips. Or was it really the beverage’s fault and not her utter lack of luck mixed with the abundance of clumsiness? Of course her mind settles with both, refusing to wholly blame herself even though heaven knows it really is only the latter. The elder’s smooth voice collided with a grumble of her own that could not be suppressed while her hands busy themselves dabbing the stain with the limited amount of napkin she has. “– that I’m clumsy? Or that my shirt has redesigned itself out of nowhere?” Or that this is possibly the worst day I’ve had in months? she gives Joohyun credit for her natural sensitivity to detecting one’s mood but as always, the younger let her molars gnaw on the inside flesh of her cheek and swallow the thought as she hopes her retort sounded more of a lighthearted joke than she actually intended. 

There was no way anyone couldn’t see that, for whatever reason, Siyeon was particularly irate today. Maybe it was the brown colored liquid that decide to latch itself onto her white shirt, looking like a coffee painting on white canvass, or maybe there was something Joohyun wouldn’t know of. Siyeon was quite young and well, she did not mean to make herself sound older than she was, but the younger really was bad at hiding what she was really feeling. “Maybe both.” She chuckled. It wasn’t an action made in order to mock her, but rather, she was simply attempting to appease her and to help her out of her sour mood. She sincerely hoped it was working, or that it’d eventually work. She wasn’t so used to seeing Siyeon in such a mood. She could see that the napkins were doing no good, only adding onto the smudging of the brown color and allowing it to spread through her clean shirt even more. Watching Siyeon for a moment, Joohyun clicked on her tongue. “That looks pretty bad.” A few seconds of pregnant silence whipped through with Joohyun thinking of a solution. “Come.” She then takes the younger by the wrist, taking her to the nearest comfort room she could find where she proceeded to wet her handkerchief, rubbing it against the stubborn stain carefully, being extra aware of the smudging. “I think cloth on cloth will work much better.” She says as she focuses on her work, the brown stain on her shirt gradually turning light yellow as the remnants transfers onto the handkerchief.

Winged Victory of Samothrace: Do you strive to meet your goals and never give up on them?

+ I think that by now, people have noticed how competitive I seem to become at times. {` a timid smile then befalls upon her lips. after all, who would have thought such fiery wanting to win would come from such a soft spoken girl as herself `} Yes. I’d go through many means and measures, so as long as I don’t hurt anybody. There’s nothing wrong with friendly competition, but I know my limits.

Wanderer above the Sea of Fog: Do you tend to get lost easily?

+ No...I am a leader...I should not be lost...though I do have my moments.

Napoleon Crossing the Alps: Are you a brave and daring individual? Would you fight for freedom if you had to?

+ Well, as I said earlier, I think the same answer applies to this question. I’d go through all means to achieve a goal, and if that goal is to attain freedom, I think I wouldn’t do a bad job at doing so.

Christina's World: Is there anything you long for?

+ I think what I really long for is self-improvement. I grew as a person, I know I did. But there will always be this part of me that will tell me that there’s more to work on. I’ll keep longing to be a better version of my current self.

Round orbs flicker upwards to glance at the elder through her lashes, head kept slightly tilted downwards as she once had her entire focus on the jajangmyeon before Yerin stole them with the comment– “Slob?” She gasps in her mind, failing the usual attempt to ignore nor push aside the remark when she is aware of the fact that the other, herself, is not the most graceful of all. The younger straightened up while swallowing a mouthful of the scrumptious noodles, lips tainted at the corners with the dark sauce only to fade after her tongue had been drawn out to lap it up, pouting right after as her forehead creases to form a frown. “I don’t think you’re one to judge, unnie.” Siyeon eventually snorts as her gaze zooms in on a very visible proof of such words– Yerin’s full lips stained with jajangmyeon sauce. 

Yerin’s known to be quite of a messy eater. There are times where fans of her caught her eating messily on video before, some of them includes her eating a cream covered cake. Of course, at the end, her lips was smudged with cream all over. Since it’s just Siyeon here right now, she sees no point in trying to eat in a more proper way. If she were to be truthful, the younger female did not make much of a mess; not when she’s here. The real reason why she said her friend was making a mess was that she wanted the jajangmyun she was having. As if she haven’t eaten for a whole day, she wasted no time in shoving a huge mouthful of the dish into her mouth the moment she took the plate. “ eh-? ” Chewing the food slowly so as to prevent herself from choking or whatsoever, she turns over to look at her friend. Her nose scrunched up while she flashed her infamous eye-smile. “ you are not.. wrong. but it’s the truth that your lips was a mess too. ”

❝ I’m not too sure if that’s a good idea, ❞ Chaeyoung breathes into the speaker of her mobile phone, teeth sinking worriedly into the plushness of her bottom lip as slender fingers drum rhythmically against her thigh. Yet, her voice is laced with just a hint of hopefulness – she’d voiced out her desire to grab some convenience store ice cream to the younger girl ( Because hey, who says idols can’t occasionally indulge? Plus she’s in need of a much needed treat as a pat on her own back for having pulled through two entire, nervewracking rounds of Masked Best Singer), and as risky as it is for the other, she’s keen to admit that it’d be nice to have her company, even if just for a little bit. ❝ Are you sure you’re allowed to, though? Since you’ve just debuted, I heard that your manager is especially strict, mm? ❞

When Joohyun called her out, her excitement could not be suppressed, especially due to the fact that she hasn’t had the time to meet up with the elder for months now as each of their schedules hasn’t allowed them to. Of course, food is a must have at this particular moment and even though she secretly hoped to finally have the chance of getting to taste Joohyun’s cooking, Siyeon wasn’t entirely disappointed at her words as an amused laughter tumbles out of a toothy grin after realizing that they are once again down to the ultimate choice of classic delivery. “Pizza! I haven’t had it in a while, like it’s probably been months, honestly…” Her voice faded into a mumble and ended with a sigh as she skims through her memories of the last time her tastebuds had met with the mentioned dish– after all, it is a well known fact that the worst downside of one’s debut being just around the corner is having numerous types of food completely banned.

The look on the younger’s face told an unspoken story that she could relate to all too well. She, too, faced it as a trainee, and even after she debuted, she faced the same problem every comeback. As someone who has watched her younger friend closely, she’s been keeping up with updates on their debut and she was more than delighted after discovering that it was drawing closer and closer. “My treat.” Thin lips stretched out into a smile as she waved the phone in the air. “Consider this my first gift to you, for your fast approaching debut.” Of course, Joohyun wouldn’t tell her that the purpose of this was to let her indulge before she goes back to the tedious lifestyle of having to keep up with her figure again. The older only uses one finger to navigate through her phone like she usually does, slowing down the process of having to dial the pizza place’s number. Once she does, though, she begins talking to the man on the other side. “Toppings?” She mouthed to the other with no sound whatsoever.

A hearty laugh had immediately bubbled out of her from how sudden the fall had happened, coupled with a wide grin as she shakes her head and stands up, almost slipping again in the process if not for the support from the chair that had also toppled over beside her. “I–” Being very well acquainted with the elder, Siyeon knew his words were a mere jab at humor rather than an actual judgmental remark. However, her bottom lip had already protruded to push away the amused smile before she could stop it, while her hands dusted off and fixed her clothings. “It’s not a habit, I swear. I do not fall off stuff all the time, oppa! You just– you have bad timing.” Huffing loudly, the young woman reasoned out after remembering that one time Hoshi had also witnessed another similar accident. “Besides, this one is practically your fault!”

He can’t help but just snicker at the other, she indeed seemed to be really clumsy and yet the floored seemed to be extremely slippery. “are you sure.. this is like..” he stops speaking, starting to count with his fingers for how many times he has seen her fall, it sure wasn’t the first one. “Perhaps a fifth one? I don’t know but this like always happens or is it because of me, does your knees get weak like that?” he was just joking, like he always does and just laughs. “are you REALLY, blaming me for that.. you are the one who fell..”
