i started playing potion permit its a v cute game highly recommend but it got me thinking of a pynch AU and I have too many WIPs so here’s the story:

Ronan Lynch is a chemist/alchemist/potion maker from the big city. He took on the job from his father, renowned chemist Niall Lynch.

CABESWATER is a small town outside the city. Everyone in Cabeswater is anti-big city and also anti-chemists. They have their own witch doctor in town, Kavinsky, but when the Mayor’s daughter fell ill, Kavinsky was unable to heal her, so they called for the city’s help. Enter Ronan Lynch.

Ronan is able to heal the mayor’s daughter and the town starts to open up to him. He befriends the blacksmith, Blue Sargent, the carpenter, Adam Parrish, the Mayor’s assistant, Gansey, and the forester, Noah Czerny. Uses some city resources to fix up the town, renovate the clinic, etc.

Oh yeah and he has a trusty canine companion, Opal, who helps him forage for potion ingredients.

“Adam sat down beside him. “We should check the break room. There might be something to eat in there.” He glanced up at the metal ceiling. Rain had started to fall and it sounded like a gunfight in the silence. “If we can find some clean containers, we can capture some rainwater.”

He went to stand and Ronan stopped him. 

Adam looked at him. Ronan already looked back. 

Ronan looked down at the machete resting across his lap, tightened his hand around the handle, and kissed Adam. The kiss was soft in a world that had made them both too hard. It contained a gentleness that Adam wasn’t sure he had ever had directed towards him, that he wasn’t sure he had ever owned. He leaned in and Ronan took his weight, held him up like it was nothing, like Adam was everything. 

Something in Adam’s chest broke and remade. 

Something new settled right between his lungs. 

Adam breathed Ronan in. He exhaled something toxic he’d been carrying for far too long. 

They finally broke off the kiss. 

“Let’s find something to gather water in,” Ronan said, one hand resting on Adam’s cheek and the other on his heart. 

Adam nodded. 

He was pretty sure he had just agreed to something much bigger than collecting water. 

He couldn’t find it in himself to regret it.”

Very rough proof that I am still writing the zombie au and that getting these boys to kiss has taken far too long. But I suppose they have been running for their lives. 

Does anyone else find it difficult to write pynch kisses because Maggie wrote them so beautifully and perfectly? Because I do.

Ronan will show up and be presentable at Mrs. Gansey's party the night before the Senate election, possibly with a date. In exchange, Ronan gets to drive the Pig for three weeks. Ronan crashes the car, and ends up falling for the mechanic who fixes it
