Day 22: Familiars

Its just a Lunafreya kind of a day. It has really been slow at work as well.

How does one draw a dogo with so many distinct features? I never realized Umbra had so much put into his design until Insaw his concept art!

Meanwhile lady Pyrna is just white. Lol.

How dose you oc blush? Is it just a light warming across the cheeks, a full burning of the face, dose it spread to their ear tips, down their neck? Is it a soft rose in color or a deep scarlet red, perhaps your oc blushes in more exotic colors? Most important what makes your oc blush, what makes them go all soft in the knees?

DHHFHGBGBGB THIS ASK BLESS (i apologize I really should get to these,,,) For Raninus? He doesn't blush that hard. So it's just a soft spread of purple across his face and tips of his ears. It does burn a lot for him. Seeing someone who he loves (romantically) either as a crush in passing is typically a kicker. He also just tends to do this alot when shown deep affection from his friends and families. It happens a lot and it is very intense. Volan is the opposite, a lot of redness but no burn. Typically she isn't a blusher (she typically is the one who makes her partner blush) but when she does, its with a surprise gift from Detlev and or a quick play of words from him.

Detlev has a soft blush with soft warmth, just only the cheeks. He's very receptive with flirting and volan definitely flirts with him a lot even at work. Pyrna gets full on fluster, completely red in the face and even parts of her ears and neck. Casual FLirty and lovey dovey jokes directed to her from her lover as well as more full acts of love is what drives her partially crazy.

Does anyone in the This Is series have pets? I just imagine Ravus having a cat or something. Maybe Ardyn dumped the kitten on him or Loqi found it abandoned. I have no idea. But yes, getting/having pets.

In the internal dialogue that circulates around the good headcanon, I’m pretty sure Ravus would have a cat. In a general FFXV headcanon for people, though, I can do that as well. But let’s talk about Ravus! Because, you know, Ravus. There’s alot of funny headcanons that is oriented around Ravus and Lunafreya’s two dogs –  he’s allergic, he likes dogs, hates them, etc. Though to be honest, in my mind, I imagine him as the kind of guy who doesn’t mind anyways. They just don’t like him, the poor guy.

Like, if you look at the concept art of Ravus and Lunafreya talking with each other (in either one, really), the dogs are always by Lunafreya’s side. Yeah, dogs are always obedient to the person that trained them first. But considering that Ravus lives in the same place as the dogs, you would think that they’d be more friendly to him, right? Maybe Pyrna just runs up, jumps on Ravus’s leg until she gets ear scratches and a treat from him, but no. The dogs are rarely seen away from Lunafreya’s side. They guard her, protect her. Even in the scene with Ravus telling Lunafreya not to give up hope, Pyrna doesn’t leave Luna’s side. Not even to run up to Ravus out of curiosity and see why the human is kneeling down to him. Must be a really well-trained dog if they can resist head-pets.

Heck, Umbra too is hesitate to be near Ravus as well. He’s more friendly with Noctis, whom only ever visits briefly but freely lets Noctis give him paw or head pets too, something Ravus is never really seen doing. They may be messengers for the Astrals and Oracle, but dogs can still be happy to see people too – especially if Ravus is one to be around Lunafreya quite a bit.

I probably imagine Ravus doesn’t particularly dislike animals though regardless. He probably can’t focus on them due to always being with his work. But he doesn’t ever show a distaste for Pyrna being by Lunafreya’s side a good majority of the times he talks to her. He might even bit a bit envious that the dogs like her more, that they remain distant from him because of their obedience training, but perhaps something else.

Perhaps the Magitek arm that he has. After all, with the Magitek technology being a daemon-infused power, wouldn’t something as close to the astrals as Pyrna and Umbra be weary around a man with a small bit of the Scourge’s taint in the limb he had replaced?

Makes me kinda sad thinking about it all… But we’ll say that Ravus probably does like cats at least. Can’t have them either though, considering Umbra and Pyrna might eat it. That, and if he did have a cat, he’d probably act very much like Jumin Han from Mystic Messenger, adoring his cat more than he does actual people. Lunafreya would be beyond concerned about it, that’s for certain.

Instead, he probably settles for a fish tank and some fish he takes very good care of.

I looked back at the old trailers for XV from when Luna first appeared and everyone thought she was a redesigned Stella, the sky was red. And I just recently replayed Type-0 and put two and two together that maybe the starscourge was similar to tempus finis at least before it turned the sky completely black.

And the messengers of the Astrals like Gentiana, Pyrna and Umbra are almost in the same vein of the Eidolons who were messengers of the Fal’Cie.

And I heard a rumor that Ardyn’s original role was similar to Arecia and Gala, not an ancestor of Noctis (maybe though not directly I guess since I’m assuming the Lucis Line that Noctis is from is stemmed from Izunia. Who I am assuming is Ardyn’s brother??)
