i'm probably gonna move my laptop to openSUSE tumbleweed, since Debian has dropped i686 with Debian 13, putting the future of 32-bit Q4OS into question
unless anyone knows any better (non-Debian) distros for low-power 32-bit hardware?

Acer Extensa – FreeDoom phase 2! I am at the second phase!
I try to learn retro systems. And, this is my linux comp. Acer Extensa. Two cores with 1.5. And 4gb ram. About 160gb hard drive. It is with Q4OS. This is light weight linux. Rather nice looking. And, it has a easy to use packet manager. Which, I use to install lots of everything. Also including games. At first look, you have things to select from.
See What’s new in Q4OS 2.4 Scorpion

laptop sorted :3
sorry i should have put the specs it is a dell vostro 1500
cpu: core 2 duo T7250 2ghz
gpu: nvidia 8400m GS
ram: 4gb ddr2
256gb ssd
8gb swap
it seems to crash whenever its under heavy load like running discord or videos
that thing can absolutely run Q4OS (honestly either edition fits within your spec, but TDE is more lightweight at the cost of lacking some modern features)
honestly with your specs, you should run the TDE edition, just don't expect to be doing anything more intensive than like, playing Portal (the first one, Portal 2 is out of spec for you)
