hiya! so this might be uh a few years late or like perhaps 10 years but i got into the james bond fandom a few months ago and i really adore q/max and i was wondering if you still shipped them. i really love rarepairs and qmax hit me in just the perfect way and i was wondering what your opinion on them would be now after such a long time

Oh my god, hi! I have no idea when you sent this but I've just found this ask in my inbox. This is almost entirely monoship blog these days but if anyone from the robron fandom has ever wondered where my username comes from, it's a bastardised quote from Spectre...

I've just looked at AO3, and it seems that I'm still piloting this row-boat ship pretty much on my own, or at least I would be had I written anything in the last decade...

But, while I haven't done anything creative for this ship for a long while, it's fair to say that the possibilities of Max and Q still have me in a choke-hold. I'll never understand the choice to show Q's reaction to Max's fall (and ooooh isn't that a delicious parallel with his other character?) And while I never fit into the Sherlock fandom, I fully embraced the younger brother au that floated around between us. There's something very compelling about the contrast between these men and their non-canonical brothers and each other - two sides of the same coin... all that jazz...

This is a round about way of saying that I definitely still ship them, and I'd love to create more for them, if the muse were ever to strike. One of my favourite authors from another fandom recently published a multi-chapter fic after a hiatus of over ten years so stranger things have happened.

I love that during the interview, after qroier shows up, qmax makes the comment about how him and qcellbit are an absolute hurricane/tornado and he shold have interviewed them separately... as if... you know. Qforever just gave Qmax access to his storage room, he said qmax is the only person he'll share the room with plus the brazilians. He said he should use whatever he wants to take down the federation bc they have already taken too much from them.
