The Dark Begins was actually inspired by the grey catbirds I hear in my neighborhood! They scared me so bad when I was little, I always thought they were abandoned kittens.

I actually didn't know potoos also sounded like cats! It's so interesting that at least two grey birds evolved the ability to sound like kittens crying!

If it was like only tawnycrow the book it could be so bad it's good but unfortunately it's so bad it's a hate crime

Reblogging the warrior cats furry one piece blog thinking one of my warrior cats mutuals put it on my dash just to be hit with a metaphorical lead pipe was an experience i didn't expect

I feel like if the erins picked a few of us warriors tumblr users randomly and made us the new writers and left we would immediately make it better.

Like i genuinely have no connection to any dotc cat or any new series cat but jfc

I mean.... yknow you arent wrong. i think most of the fandom would be better on account of not being conservative.

in all seriousness though yeah it feels like the authors are so wary about doing much with these characters. they're so scared of changing the status quo and yet they dont like the series being completely self contained. its suffocating.

I’ve got to settle on a bunch of names for the animals, and rework a few things, before I’m able to solidify it, though T^T

Currently I am reworking a LOT of the history, so I have nothing really in stone right now!

One thing you should know is that Frecklewish is now the aunt to Sun Pineheart and the sister-in-law to the tyrant that was Sun Marigoldfall. She and her brothers are different to the characters you think they are, by the way. She is known as Yew-whisker and is actually the perceived reincarnation of Frecklewhisker, one of the actual victims of Mapleshade :)

Bloomheart, I'm still working out. I really want to have the more minor/background characters in canon Mapleshade's Vengeance to be larger political pawns and I'm working out how to do that... still unsure??

Only time will tell where I take their story, but I do have some plans for Mapleshade and the characters surrounding the time period when her crimes were committed, and the instating of various laws.
