Obligatory pinned post, though I'm going to do my best to have this blog be only WC designs and not too much text!

Hello all! My name is Spotty, I’m an adult who uses he/him pronouns. I no longer consider myself to be a fan of Warriors, and haven't actually read one of those books in years now, but seeing as Warriors was a major part of my growing up and I'm still hyperfixated on drawing cats, I figured I might as well try my hand at designing some old favorites and background characters to keep my design skills sharp.

I don’t have any new art for y’all, but it’s my birthday and I wanted to post something to mark it, so…

Here’s a comparison between my first (2022) Firestar design that I posted and my latest (2026)!

Up next for the last few designs leading into 500 designs, it's Fierce of the Guardian Cats! As mentioned, I'm drawing one cat from each of the important nonClan groups, so here's my choice for the Guardian Cats.

You can find the reverse side of her design here. It should, combined with this view of her, give a better overall idea of the look of her one short leg.

For her physical description, Fierce is described as a she-cat with one leg that is shorter than the others. Her one short leg was fun to try and figure out. I've seen a lot of people draw her with her short leg held off the ground, but she's not described holding it up in Tigerheart's Shadow, she's described as leaning when she walks but with all four legs on the ground. I ended up finding an instagram account with videos of a cat with a short front leg, and the cat walked with their front half lowered and the longer leg bent so the shorter leg could touch the ground, so that's the stance I went with here, I think that works as leaning when she walks. Other than the leg, she's a fairly average cat in build and on the smaller side in height.

For her pattern, Fierce is described as a tortoiseshell she-cat with orange fleccks throughout her pelt, a black muzzle, and bright green eyes. I had fun with her tortie pattern and making her predominantly black with those orange flecks, like sparks of fire in the dark.

Overall, I'm really pleased with how she turned out. :D

Picked up a new course for the minimester, a week in and it’s already kicking me down

I just wanna draw T^T I had no motivation for a couple of weeks but the SECOND class started up I got hit with The Urge…

I sigh. I sigh so deep and wistful and mournful

SPOTTEDLEAF — A smaller, somewhat thickset, somewhat thick-furred dark molly with ginger spotted tortie patches, very low white, and huge amber eyes.

Finally settled on an overall design for Spottedleaf that I!! Actually really like! I am quite content, this time around, with her look.

I might do another pass at her overall proportions some other time, because I feel a little iffy about them? But for now? I’m very pleased with this version — and it only took me two drastically different posted versions and about six different drafts to reach this point!

Also, as a fun, useless fact: I listened to Judas Priest almost exclusively while drawing her lol

Some design notes!:

Extremely rounded, from her build to her fur style to her extremities.

Spot clumps only come in pairs or trios.

Completely ginger tail, sans the white tip.

One white toe on left hind paw, one dark toe on right forepaw.

Leaf-shaped fringe over left eye.

Distinctively big, rounded eyes, to give her both a somewhat youthful and a somewhat uncanny vibe.

Scarring: None! (Though I like to think she has at least one, somewhere, from her short time as a warrior apprentice)

Decoration: Daffodils, symbolizing new beginnings, admiration, truth, vanity, and death.

Next redone design will be posted tomorrow, and I’m already moving on, drafting out Tigerstar… So!

FIREHEART — A small, fluffy, ginger ticked tabby tom with low white and vivid green eyes.

FIRESTAR — A small, fluffy, ginger ticked tabby tom with low white, torn ears, a scarred throat, and vivid green eyes.

“Rebooting” this space, to a degree, by going through old posts and assessing whether or not I’m content with both the designs and the artwork at hand… Starting with Firestar!

I’m still quite happy with my old design for him, so I just touched it up a bit and redrew him — and tried my hand at drawing him a little younger, and a little older, while I was at it!

What do we think of the new layout, guys? :D

Some design notes!:

A cat of prophecy, so he bears star markings! A pair on his ears (to better listen), and a pair on his paws (to better act).

A heart-shaped patch on his chest.

A small ruff of fur on his nose.

Mane and tail both naturally fluff up with age.

Heart-shaped nose!

Lots of subtle fire elements throughout his markings.

Scarring: Torn ears. Scarred throat from the fox trap incident. Cheek scar. Scarred flank.

i'm not sure if you do ships or not, but having seen that Bluestar and/x Goldenflower post from a request i imagine there's a chance, so.. may i request some Firestar x Graystripe?

whether or not it's the case though, i also want to say good job to you for making great drawings, they're very good!

I’m super down to do simple ship art upon request! But in a case like that, I just ask that before y’all ask for something, please read my rules and make sure that whoever you’re requesting is somebody I’ve already drawn/designed at least once before.

(In your case, as of right now, I have yet to design Graystripe)
