Flowery Forests Forever

These are Hallowed Hessonite (left), Corona Sapphire (far left), Host Ruby, (middle left), Cherubic Pearl (middle) and Arch Aventurine (right), the Mystical Gems and the four components of Angelical Alexandrite.

Did Arch Aventurine and Cherubic Pearl last time, so time for Corona Sapphire and Host Ruby's permafusion, Hallowed Hessonite!

Yellow Ruby (looking like a yellow sapphire but with a ruby's gem cut) and Red Sapphire (looking like a regular ruby but with a sapphire's gem cut) were born mismatched when two injector veins accidentally crossed due to tectonic interference. Unfortunately, the two were forced to have their cuts “corrected”, aka shaved, by Era 2 kindergarten supervisors who couldn’t afford to make a new sapphire. Yellow Ruby was dubbed “Corona Sapphire”, and Red Sapphire was renamed to “Host Ruby”, to hide their ‘defectiveness’. So Corona, with the mentality of a ruby, was a bit too belligerent and ill-mannered of a sapphire, with no ability to read the future, but with the makings of a good fighter. Host, with the mentality of a sapphire, was averse to battle and a bit too mild mannered, but with the power to see the future. In panic, the supervisors forced Host’s assignment to Corona, so that Host could tell Corona the future, and Corona could take credit. This drove a deep divide between the two gems.

However, the two were at some point assigned to a new colony which was facing rebellion from the native inhabitants. In order to calm the nerves of a pair of ‘concerned’ Pyrope colony rulers next door, Corona Sapphire was made to ‘predict’ the future. However, Host Ruby foresaw that their base would be suddenly attacked by rebels, and that Corona Sapphire would be shattered in the attack, among others… and chose to lie about it, planning on using it as a diversion to escape and finally be free of her shackles to Corona.

However, shortly before the colony was attacked, Corona unexpectedly pulled Host aside and revealed to her that she hated the way their dynamic was, as the two didn’t ask to be made and then forced into these roles; the polite mannerisms of a Sapphire were stifling to her, and she revealed that she’d overheard her superiors talking about how the two of them should just be shattered anyway. Thusly, Corona asked if Host would just like to leave everything behind and start over again. Host was shocked, having not predicted this, but couldn’t answer before the colony was attacked. But just as one of the rebels was about to shatter Corona, Host ran in to save Corona, and the two suddenly fused, becoming the gem who would later call herself Hallowed Hessonite. Not even noticing their fusion right away, the two escaped into the forests of this rebel planet, only realizing they’d fused when they finally had a moment of safety. Now the two of them were a new gem, not a Sapphire or a Ruby, and they realized how freeing it was to discover a new identity free of the labels forced on them.

Eventually, they met up with Arch Aventurine and Cherubic Ruby, and while the latter two were hesitant to accept the fusion into their pair, their hearts melted when they heard of how Hallowed Hessonite’s components had been treated since they emerged, and the four became the tight knit Mystical Gems.

Hallowed is a bit of a know-it-all, but is much more confident and comfortable 'in their skin' now that they've shed the labels forced on them. They like to leap into action and adventure, but there's very little to be found if they want to stay out of the attention of the locals.
