Thousand of people are protesting against this stupid president we have, and the only thing that maybe would not get me killed is inform all of you our suffering, how disgusting is watching all this police movement against us, people throwing tear gas in subways, hearing the cries of the thousands of people who are there to protect our grandparents, our parents, our people, our future.

What makes this even worst, is that I know this won't end well. If this continues people will die.

Now in Argentina: Today, Wednesday, March 19, the march in defense of retirees is taking place.

At train stations, the following message is being broadcast over loudspeakers:

"Protesting is not violence. The police will repress any attack against the Republic."

This is both alarming and terrifying. In Argentina, protesting is a right. The right to protest has been recognized in the country for years.

Contrary to what the government and its supporters claim, this message is not about ensuring a peaceful demonstration or preventing violence. Instead, it seeks to normalize repression and criminalize protest. It is a strategy to justify the state violence that will inevitably take place during today’s demonstration.

And that is unacceptable.
