HOPES RISING ACADEMY ; Training excellence and perfection | Danganronpa MSM

Danganronpa MSM middle school murders game explained:

layout of the games map :

red = monopark/monofair yellow = dorms orange = monomuseum & aquarium green = garden / nature dome purple = stargazing rooftop (lowkey forgot the name) cyan = monoshop vendors and city shops + foodcourt blue = main academy pink = announcement stage and monokumas stage (w elevator for class trials and exit out of the city)

What is Hopes Rising Academy and why is the middleschool existing?

The orginal concept for the academy was to be a pre-school for hopes peak, shortly after the preservation school was getting filled for students wanting to be an ultimate at hopes peak. The thought of a training middle school for younger students to train and adapt their talents into perfection so they are ready to become ultimates at hopes peak was simple.

It would make the que line for hopes peak smaller with already new ultimates rushing in, and younger and fresh students could take their time in middleschool to train their talents to meet their full potential while waiting to graduate and go to hopes peak!! But it didn’t mean students who attended would get a guaranteed spot in hopes peak as an ultimate, it only trains them not guarantee it. So in fact the students who attend hopes rising arent called ultimates just yet, well because theyre not ultimates just yet— They’re called Trainee’s or Ultimates in Training.

Most students refer to themselves by “Ultimate |talent| in training” or “Trainee Ultimate |talent|”. And considering most of the students are possibly put in the hopes rising academy is to join relatives and people with connections who are already on hopes peak campus. Which wasn’t so bad but it was also unfair to those who had no connections, so there was always a special class of kids who werent connected who gained a guaranteed spot.

But of course, the school was broken into despair shortly after the despair remnants and Junko Enoshima took the world by storm with despair. The once school that was nurturing and training young potential ultimates to their best ability was flipped into a messed up ground for killing games.

What happened to the academy after despair?

After the academy was put in shambles, monokuma had decided he was tired of seeing highschoolers reactions to the game and wanted to see a younger audience (ignore udg thats for later when i talk abt it). So he rebuilt a whole world underground specifically for a certain class of 19 students who attended hopes rising. Class 89, which was full of students who had many talents which were promising. Monokuma had wanted students SPECIFICALLY who were related to other students he had dealt with as he would find if hilarious if he spread despair by motives of their loved ones executions and murders for more motives. So he had his monokubs track down close friends and family remembers and ANYONE in that very class who meant something to the previous students.

Where is the killing game for class 89 taking place?

The place for the killing game is set underground, with a centerstage elevator. The whole game basically is this big underground dome base with fake everything in it besides the nature area. The walls are painted terribly like a childs drawing of the sky, and by night the lights are shut off as white lights in the bases walls represent fake stars. Many of the buildings and stuff around the whole base are very childish and reminiscent of how a daycare would look. Very colorful and very bold. Besides the streets, upon entering most buildings it reminds you of your childhood.

Considering half of the buildings in the base are for fun, they are also for other children.. The monokubs. Yes they return, Monokuma drags his own children to watch and monitor other children in a killing game. So it is not rare to see a few of the kubs hanging out by the fair and shops in the city.

Explaination for each building:

Nature dome/Garden : A small desinated area full of habitats and creatures. Five different areas in the dome, a calming bamboo forest with a shrine, a cool and relaxing waterfall lake (perfect at nite, i’ll bring this up later), a small platform rised above the ground to get a look of the fake stars in the sky at night,and a greenhouse area full of thriving plants and basically the bug garden in acnh

Mono-Fair/Mono-Park : Due to many complaints from the children and Monokubs and Monokumas pure boredom he creates a fair for the “little whiny shits” to mess around with while also including rides games and attractions.. as well some areas that are perfect for murder.. (will bring up again).

Mono-Museum/Aquarium : Was made purely out of the fact Monokuma wanted to show off all the artifacts and despair including items that are important to the despair timeline (such as junkos sketchbook while designing monokuma). The aquarium was made to store fish like salmon and other creatures monokuma thought it would be fun to put in a tank so kids in a killing game could awe at the fishes.

Food court/Monocity : This was made for basic needs for the children, couldnt have the kids dying of starvation wheres the fun in that. Would rather much set up shops so the kids in the monocity could explore their options of vendors and items they could purchase to buy weapons and plan their killing. Or they could be hungry and just want snacks, possibly even buying gifts to give the other students. (Player choice to buy gifts to level up friendship with characters in game)

Hopes Rising Academy : It’s just the academy, it holds basic needs a normal school would. A gym, a pool, a track, outdoor courts and classes that may or may not store secrets in them. Be careful, the school is the only place where the nurses office and healing items can be found. Students stick around the school as it has stuff in there they can use to still train their own talents.

Dorms : It’s their dorms, each dorm decorated and curiated to said students talent. You’re allowed to enter upon invitations once you reach a level 3 friendship. Make sure to bring gifts, youll be able to see it displayed in their room. You will be able to view rooms if the student is deceased and you hadnt had leveled friendship, seeing their items now dusty from being untouched. All rooms in the dorms surround the students talent and or theme of their talent.

Stage : It’s the announcement stage, Monokuma rises early like tom nook to give a real loud announcement every morning. Declaring a new day for murderous intents while also using the stage as a elevator. The stage will rise once time for class trials, revealing a elevator underneath the stage where it takes the class further down into the class trial room. Or if you manage to loose a trial to the murderer, you’ll get an animation of their sprite taking the elevator up and finally escaping the killing game inside the underground dome.
