hey yall, here's a summary post for the omegaverse au that's been buzzing around in my head recently!

CW for themes of noncon, objectification, anything relating to a breeding program verse.

In this verse, there’s a special kind of Omega, very rare and highly coveted. A Queen Omega. It presents in omegas later than regular presentation- 20-22 instead of at puberty. Queen omegas are capable of carrying a pup to full term much faster than regular omegas, capable of carrying multiples from different sires, capable of bearing pups for a longer time.

queen omegas, as soon as they're recognized, are no longer considered regular people anymore. what they are after being discovered as queen omegas differs based on culture- some see them as higher beings, to be cherished and kept safe. some see them as breeding stock, no better than unruly livestock, made to be kept locked up and safe and made to do what they were born to do.

Most societies are the latter.

In the NHL, omegas are allowed to play. Those first two years of their contracts are usually normal, and when they reach Queen presentation age, they’re tested for the Queen gene. If they don’t have it or don’t present, they keep playing normally.

If they do have the gene, or present as a Queen, their players contract is terminated, and Queen’s contract is written and signed. They are now a brood mare for their team. They’re kept in an apartment at the rink, under almost constant surveillance for their health, and they have a strict schedule. A breeding, from a selection of alphas made available to the Queen, who can select as many or as few as they want per round. A three month pregnancy, followed by 6 months of bonding and growth for the pups. When the pups reach 6 months old, someone from the Queen’s Department of the League comes and takes the pups away, to be dispersed and taken care of by billet families. Then, 2 months of recovery time. Some teams allow the Queen to play with the team during their recovery, some teams just keep the Queens in their apartments, safe and comfortable and secure. Then the cycle repeats again.

When omegas are drafted, they’re told to hold off on bonding with anyone, because a bonded Queen is a lot harder to make a contract with than an unbonded one. The mating bond supersedes all contracts, so if a bonded Queen is under contract with a team, the queen’s mate is allowed to be with them for every breeding cycle, allowed to go into their apartments, even live with them, no matter what.

Queen omegas that are bonded cannot have another alpha’s pups until they have their mate’s pups first. It’s impossible for the Queen to get pregnant by anyone else before their bonded mate

The first litter a Queen usually bears is the team leadership- the captain and the alternates

If a queen’s next heat lines up with the ASG, they’re allowed “off the leash” a little, and told to peruse the ASG players for a litter

if a Queen bears a litter for everyone on a team, the team is allowed to loan out the Queen to teams that don’t have one with the queen’s “consent”

Usually, depending on how many alphas mount the Queen, it’s 2-4 pups per litter

Some queens are more prone to twins or triplets from the same sire, some only bear one pup per sire

The previous record holder for most pups in a litter is Crosby, with 7 pups from 7 different sires in a litter, it was a post cup win celebration

Queens present later, 20-22, instead of during puberty, so regular omegas are still drafted to the nhl. When they present, their players’ contract is terminated, and a Queen contract is signed instead. They’re kept in a small apartment at the arena, almost constantly monitored for their health, and kept on a regular breeding schedule- three month pregnancy, 6 months with the babies before they’re taken away by the team’s Queen staff, then two months recovery time, before the next breeding is scheduled. Depending on the team, during those two months of recovery time, some queens are able to play. Some teams keep their Queen under lock and key, refusing to let them out of the apartments at all.

Do you plan to do anything else with your Queen genshin au, or do you just want to show the character designs?

Hi! At the moment I'm working on their designs, I'd also love to print some acrylic standees with those artworks 💕 I thought a lot about their stories (and gameplays) but I'm still deciding wether to write some snippets/scenes to expand their lore or doodle something. I'm in a massive artblock tbh 😅 thanks for asking though, I really appreciate that 🥺💖💖💖
