conversation about minority rights between me (post-intersectional ultraprogressive deleuzoguattarian autonomist benevolent-egoist anarchist-communizer) and my communalist mutualist mom is like
mom: "i like gender equality! :3"
me: "the categories of "gender" and "queerness" are historically constructed systems of control that should become increasingly fluid and unstable. the deterritorialization of patriarchal identity matrices through post-molar spectral fluidity. real feminism and queer liberation is the dismantling of the molar gender binary and queerness through the intensification of biotechnological, social flux."
mom: "what is post-molar do you need a dentist"
I have noticed that when I disagree with other black queer people the conversation is often an actual intellectual discussion where an exchange of perspectives and information occurs. white queers (and on a slightly lesser scale queer non-black poc) 99.99% of the time try to turn it into a debate with bad faith arguments and a heavy overtone of condescension. They're so eager to berate a black person and it's extremely weird.
My most secular, lukewarm westoid take, as a Catholic, is that I don’t really care how religious your community is, and I don’t really care if it’s a religious school—comprehensive sex ed should be mandated by the state ESPECIALLY if it’s a nation in the global north with the resources to spend billions on education. Freedom of religion be damned the whole “if we teach our Christ loving children about sex they’ll start having sex!” Has been unproven time and time again. If anything the lack of sex Ed is putting children in dangerous situations where they do not have the ability to protect themselves via language because YOU won’t teach them!
