The thequeerself is now queerandawarearts!
I’ve decided to shift the identity of this blog to reflect not only queer media but media dealing with all sorts of social issues because as queer and even non queer identified people, we exist on all sorts of levels. I hope to continue to use this blog as a platform for art and writing dealing with queerness in conjunction with other intersectional axes in which one’s identity can exist. I want to demonstrate how making art and writing can be used as a tool for the people who have been historically oppressed as a means to express themselves, their identities and to further understand the world around them.
Also, you’re all great, thank you all for taking the time to engage with the content that I post, it’s been really encouraging for me personally to learn about different social issues and perspectives. There will also be more of my own, original content coming soon as well :)
