Queersplay in a year, 2016 was a blast and we’re happy to continue what we do through 2017!

This weekend QueersPlay Member Jes will be setting up a safer space at 221BCon in Atlanta, GA at Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center from April 7-9. While Jes has been to this con several times, this is the first time QueersPlay will be making a presence in Georgia. If you need a safer space to go, we will have one set up. Just find the babe in this photo hanging out with a huge safer space sign in the vendor hall, and show us how Atlanta does it!! Always remember we love you ❤️

This response is being written to the harmful accusations from @lauren_jankowski at #c2e2 from the perspective of Kimber, Chavon, and Jes from #QueersPlay.

Both Kimber and Chavon were on the panel that #LaurenJankowski has been speaking of at length on social media, while Jes was filming it. We would like to start with a video of this panel, to set the record straight.

18:54 – Lauren self discloses that she has a chronic illness and lives with her parents without prompt from any member of QueersPlay

37:43 – Kimber explicitly recommends Lauren as an expert on a subject an audience member asks for.

42:46 – Kimber asks Lauren to promote her work.

42: 59 – Lauren misgenders Leigh

43:47 – Lauren states she is a “praise whore” then follows up by apologizing to any young people in the audience. Kimber (a sex worker who is being harmed by Lauren’s whorephobic language) responds by saying they thought she was apologizing because “whore” is a slur on sex workers. Lauren follows this by saying she lost her train of thought and “ADD, people.” but was never asked to disclose her disability, nor was there an implication that she should, and she was blaming her whorephobic rhetoric on having a disability instead of being accountable.
