what inspires you to write?I dunno, but I think if I didn’t, I couldn’t handle all the voices and people inside my head.

create a character on the spot…. NOW!Fiona - Fi, 28, lives in Brooklyn. She works in a used bookstore and lives with her best friend’s older brother and his friend in a third floor walk up. She has a hamster named Kili (Fili lives with her best friend Jack in Denver). She drinks a lot of iced tea (plain, black) and eats a salad every day for lunch. She can kind of cook, but nothing spectacular, just average, except omelettes, she’s amazing at omelettes. She is a demisexual lesbian and absolutely loves to eat out her girlfriends. She is allergic to bananas and shellfish. Fi likes to play Call of Duty with her roommates and plays Skyrim on her own. 

is there a character you love writing for the most? the least? why?Currently, Ama, in my work in progress, is my favorite because she’s just so interesting. She’s gorgeous, based off Aphrodite, married to a wheel-chair bound man, cheating on him with his dominant (and aggressive) brother, and a little bitchy, but even though she seems like a bad person, she has her whole own story, her whole own perspective that kind of explains why she does the things does. My least favorite was probably Joey is something I abandoned, just because she wasn’t… eh, she was emotionally abusive to Charlie and basically was just awful and self-centered for no reason at all. 

a passage from a WIPPregnant.Pregnant.Pregnant.“It’s wrong,” I say out loud, hearing my voice for the first time. I sound panicked, weak, my voice shaky and gross. This isn’t me.I turn to look at my reflection, pulling my shirt up slightly to imagine my flat stomach expanding, stretching, scarring.I take pride in my dark, flawless skin, smooth, unblemished. I work hard for this and now? An alien has taken residence inside me to ruin it all.Rubbing my hand slowly across my stomach, I can’t help but wonder if maybe this time it’ll be different.No. No, I can’t even think that. I throw all three tests in the trash in the kitchen and take it out on my way back to the bar. 

what are your strengths wrt writing? I have strength in keeping things simple and also writing short things.

what are your weaknesses wrt writing? My weaknesses mostly all lie within the inability to extend past a word count of 500-1000 for entire pieces. Also, flat dialogue. 

what’s your favorite place for writing resources?Internet, mostly. Tumblr has lots of things. I google a lot. I use babyname sites, webMD, wikipedia, other wikis. Anything but those god awful writing books I had to buy in school.

who are your favorite writers?Kate Atkinson (there are more, but I can’t think of them)

The Crooked Path, as I see it, is a term for the morally gray area that is witchcraft. You bounce between two extremes to what benefits you most at the time. 

Its not having a fixed way of thinking, but going with the flow of your desire and thinking.
