i have been listening to the awe-inspiring greatness that is powerhouse twin duo tegan and sara since valentine’s day, february 14, 2013. i remember this because “drove me wild” was on a jeff/britta famix that cassie/anniehotlipsedison made which was coincidentally the mix that got me into 8tracks. (EDIT: THIS MIX!)

“drove me wild” is still my favorite of theirs because i’m simple. 

i have yet to experience the Full Scope of their music so i don’t have a least favorite yet; my tegan and sara library is carefully curated to only include songs i enjoy. 

my favorite album is probably sainthood which is my hipster answer because heartthrob, while so powerful as to infinitesimally change the orbit of the earth I AM SURE, would, again, make me simple if i said it was my favorite and i have to look cool. plus sainthood has two historic jams, “alligator” and “sentimental tune”

i do not own any merch and i haven’t looked up their live performances or seen them live. i also don’t watch music videos basically ever so i have nothing of note to say in that department either. i’m a very casual tegan and sara fan to be sure. i also love both of them equally and would not dream of picking a favorite, but one of them (i still cannot tell which is which) invariably has better looking hair at all times so probably her

seriously though “drove me wild” is an amazing song, truly tremendous, a favorite of all time

It won’t be out till October, but 27 Hours by Tristina Wright looks good! I’m not a big scifi fan myself, but some good fantasy female-led books I’ve read are Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (the guys techincally outnumber the girls, but the girls are 2 of the best characters I’ve ever read about), the Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray, and The Posterchildren by Kitty Burroughs.

I love The Posterchildren! The worldbuilding and characters are so great, I’m really looking forward to Retcons.

I've heard lots of great things about Six of Crows, too! Libba Bray I’m a bit more hesitant about because I didn’t particularly like The Diviners, but I’ll certainly keep it in mind.

yeah i convinced them and next year i’m going to be living in a building that doesn’t allow pets so it’ll be fine it was just. a hell of a day when i got home and they were all talking about picking up the dog tomorrow and i was like “........hold on?”

yeah like. i’m okay with dogs in theory, and in pictures, and from a distance, but in reality most dogs scare the shit out of me. the exceptions to this so far have been puppies and dogs owned by people who i know, but in general i’m just. no. no dogs

Can I suggest some fancast ideas? :) I like Graham Rogers as Chase, Rowan Blanchard or Madison Rothschild as Molly, Allie DeBerry as Karolina, Mica Burton as fem!Xavin, maybe Shannon Purser as Gert, maybe Trevor Jackson as Alex? I don't have a Nico or Victor I'm crazy about, as long as they're Japanese and Latina/Hispanic respectively I'm cool with most I've seen.

Those are some awesome choices! I especially like the ones for Xavin, Alex, and Karolina. Shannon is also my one of my personal picks for Gertrude! 

I’ve considered Rowan and Madison in the past, and they’d make a wonderful Mollys. For my casting ideas though, I was considering actresses in the age range of 10-11, and they’re already teenagers, but gosh I’d love Madison. 

For Chase I was looking at no one no older than 22, but Graham also used to be a personal choice of mine. 

I’m kinda basing my fancast off the casting for Spider-man Homecoming. Most of the teen cast is being played by 19-21 year olds and younger, so I figured Marvel could go the same route with the Runaways. But who knows.

I know how hard it is to fancast Nico and Victor, because above all else, I want to make sure Nico’s pick is Japanese. 

Anyway, great choices, and thanks for the suggestions. I’ll add some of them to my list and credit you :)
