Bartimaeus & Queezle! #9月1日はクィーズルの日 In Japan's X fandom, 1st September is designated as Queezle Day, so I drew this to commemorate the occasion. This is because the pronunciation of 9 and 1 sounds like “qu/ee”.

I'm a die-hard BartNat fan, so I don't interpret them as having a strong romantic relationship with anyone else, but I still feel that "buddy" suits BartNat better than "lover." I think "lover" fits Bart and Queezle better. This is just my impression based on their relationships and titles, not strictly about pairings. I generally love male-female pairs. I like NatKitty, NatFarrar, and StanleyKitty etc...

Hot chocolate

Everybody lives, evvvvvrybody. Faquarl is making chocolate for every one, like the dad he is. He kept the body of Mr. Hopkins, and voila! Life is good. We can at least pretend right?

Sunlight | Hope | Happiness | Queezle

Despite everything, Queezle liked Earth. It was full of interesting things that in the Other Place didn’t exist. The least interesting things of all were the humans, that were also the most annoying, but you can’t always get what you want.

Queezle had not been on Earth a very long time, compared to other colleagues, and maybe it was because of it that she could still enjoy some details, like the sun on her fur. But there were some colleagues of hers that, as much as ancient they were, enjoyed Earth like her. Well, maybe just one: Bartimaeus.

Of course, if consulted, he’d have denied it until death, but Queezle had spent enough time with him to know that he was a liar, even when it wasn’t necessary. He enjoyed basking in the sunlight, watching petals dancing in the wind and flying about himself.

He would never say a thing about this, but Queezle knew anyway.

Chapter three - Fruit juice

So that was a thing they were doing, taking a stranger with them without discussing it even a second. One day, Queezle was going to strangle Bartimaeus in his sleep and throw his body out of the airlock, and everyone would have seen it coming.
