“Not yet,” said a borrower woman called Queline, with long, floppy bunny ears poking out of her candy floss pink hair. Quick to reassure, she added, “but we’re trying to do the best thing for everyone here. Maybe someday, we’ll be able to do something to get you back home.” She hopped away on elongated rabbit legs, always busy acting as Herald for the Order.
Queline: All right, well go have fun or whatever it is you kids call it nowadays. Get turnt.
Seth: Oh my god, no.
Queline: The party's gonna be lit, fam.
Seth: Please stop.
Queline: [finger guns]
Seth: Someone kill me.

Queline breathed in slowly, turning away from him and forcing her nerves to harden. Her short pink hair a halo and her long ears flopping, she shook her head. She was in the Jasper Order before she was a part of the Amber Order. It was a mistake to think her incapable of holding her own or that she was somehow timid. She wasn’t afraid of Seth Storm-Bringer. In her mind, he was still the skinny and wild boy she hauled in from the sticks. On her left bicep there was a scar she never showed where he bit her hard enough to draw blood. It was back when she found him the first time, lost in Greenwood Forest. He was taller and better groomed now, but he was still Mo and he was more scared than angry.
