How Does Max Travel Now?

So he melts into the crowd at the end of the movie with very little resources. Like, if he’d asked, I’m sure Furiosa would have made sure he had a vehicle and some supplies, but he just melds in with the Wretched, who clearly themselves has no resources. 

Max doesn’t have a vehicle! And at least a quarter of the movie is spent getting to any other location where there are more vehicles. Walking anywhere seems ridiculous. So I want some head canons on how he travels from here. The ending works really well with the ‘myth’ type tale Miller seems to be going for, but if I want to take his journey in a practical direction, it doesn’t add up real well. I’m assuming all working vehicles are kept in the Citadel out of the reach of a single person. I mean, he probably has a weapon on him. But who out there is there to steal a vehicle from?
