So my current favorite little headcanon is that Pearl was still kinda clueless about humans by the time Steven came to live in the house. However, she decided that even if she still didn't really understand *why* Steven happened by golly this is What Rose Wanted and she was going to try her best. So she goes to the library and checks out every single book on human development she can find, spends weeks researching and putting together charts and schedules and nutritional plans and everything. She's got this... These last about a week and eventually degrade into:
Don't let Amethyst prepare Steven's meals.
Make sure Garnet understands that making sure Steven has iron in his diet means going to the grocery and not the hardware store.

Make sure that the time between him getting into bed and the time he wakes up approximates 8 hours. (She happens to know that this is successful from personal observation)

Technically it’s highly possible, and you know that I would jump in front of an speeding 16 wheeler for Deedee Magno Hall’s voice, but I hope it isn’t true. Like, we’ve got enough Pearl showstoppers already, give the others a chance to shine.
