god what the fuck even was sarazanmai. there's characters turning into frogs to fight zombies together magical girl-style and that's supposed to be a metaphor for trying to make meaningful bonds in a late-stage capitalistic world. one of the main characters is in love with his best friend as his darkest secret. his other friend deals drugs and shot a man at age 9. there's themes of the empowering yet simultaneously corruptive nature of desire and being vulnerable with each other and families of choice and survivor's guilt. the buddy cops are evil and also in love and are now falling apart from communication issues and misunderstandings and hidden trauma. one of them said "i love you" to the other and immediately died and that's also a metaphor, this time for modern media's shortcomings in handling and showing gay love. all wrapped up in a wacky 12-episode action-fantasy-slice of life musical about defeating zombies by stealing their anal bead. i'm still not sure it wasn't a fever dream i had but it actually made me cry.

Noah had wanted to pick her up from home, really, but both of them had known from the beginning that he would finish work just in time for him to show up at Caroline’s party. The suit had been safely stored at the station, and right after returning from his patrol, Noah had changed and made his way to where his exgirlfriend was already waiting for him.

Exgirlfriend. It was a strange thought, given the situation. Usually, people came to these kind of events with someone they were in love with, or someone they wanted to introduce as their partner, anyway. Now ... well, one of these things was true, still. Noah was in love with her. Always would be, for all he knew. 

Honestly, it meant a lot that she had asked him to accompany her, everything considered. And ... maybe it meant just as much that he had agreed at once, without even hesitating. These parties were of importance, Noah was well aware of that, and there was no way in hell he would let Caroline walk into that hall all on her own.

Arm extended, Noah raised a brow, small smile on his lips.

“m’Lady? Ready for your big entrance?”

Now that they were here? They could just as well give people a reason to gossip.

the lore and worldbuilding of k project is unique and intriguing and pretty detailed. they almost never explain any of it until like way later into the plot. the male characters in k project are well fleshed out and their dynamics delightful to watch. there's like 3 female characters in the whole show and they were all done so dirty. the landscape shots are breathtaking. there's a lot of reused stock footage and bad fanservice where there shouldn't be fanservice. explaining anything past the first episode already spoils a lot of the story. objectively it's mid to pretty good overall subjectively it has my entire heart
