Ikemen Villains: Using their Curses on their Children
headcannons, just my opinions, featuring crown and vogel, and spoilers from Victor's main story ⚠️. Rated by how much they'd use their curses on their children, one being the least, ten being the most.
approx 1000 words.
William Rex | Mind Control 9/10
Out of all the characters here, William is the most likely to use his curse on his children, and will do so without regret. Controlling them can be helpful when they're in their toddler years and they are drawn to danger. While his entire lifestyle revolves around encouraging people to being their own masters and following their desires, William can also set a limit for when it's too much. His child is getting too close to a flame? Let them learn their lesson and if they try it again, he'll use his curse to make them step away and stand at a further distance. Everything is a life lesson but if he will use his curse if he needs to.
Harrison Gray | Lie Detection 6/10
This isn't the most helpful of the set. For his children's earliest years it may help him figure out when they're getting into mischief. Lying about stealing food from the kitchen at midnight wouldn't work on him, neither would pointing the blame on a sibling. He'd be able to use his curse to make sure things are fair between all his children.
Liam Evans | Invisibility 7/10
Liam will definitely play around with his child while using his curse. Hide and seek and peek-a-boo has turned up a notch now because he genuinely disappears from view which puzzles his child and also entertains them. When his baby grow up, he can easily go out with them to make sure they're safe as they spend less time with crown and more time out with friends. He may over use his curse, but it has its perks and keeps him calm knowing he can always be checking up on his child.
Elbert Greetia | Shadows 0/10
Elbert hates using his curse in general, regardless of if he needs to use it on a target or just a regular person. He's such an active figure in his child's life, his goal will always be to ensure his child's safety and happiness, to avoid them ever having to face trauma. Crown may be a hard organization to be a part of but he tries his best to raise his child as normal as possible. Elbert will avoid stepping on their shadow, no matter how hard that might be.
Alfons Sylvatica | Visions 7.5/10
Alfons's curse comes most in handy when his children are at their first few years of life. The night terrors phase is a difficult one for most parents to handle, but Alfons has it a bit easier. The hallucinations can help them sleep, their minds will be filled with good visions now. Even awake, when his child is fussy and agitated, he'll give them an hallucation to distract them. He might overdue it so eventually the hallucinations might not work on them anymore. He'll probably regret how much he used it when they were so young.
Roger Barel | Enhanced Hearing 10/10
This helps him and his partner the most. When the baby is born, no matter where their crib is, he can hear their breathing and when they wake up and will start to fuss. Feedings are easy as well because he could tell if their heart rate speeds up (beneficial for allergy testing and risk of choking). He takes things pretty easy as a father, but his keen sense of hearing will always stay on for the sake of his child.
Ellis Twilight | Binding 2/10
There's no need to use this ability on his children at all, but I think purely for his children's entertainment he's using it as a cute game. Ellis is a fun parent, he may use his curse for a few seconds so he can tickle them and then releases them. Otherwise, there is no need.
Jude Jazza | Comotose 5.5/10
Jude would most likely not want to use his curse on his child. When they're young, he feels that it would put them too sleep too long; he doesn't want to risk anything. But if his infant were to have colic, his curse would provide them with instant relief. He might try it only then. But otherwise, he's not touching them with it. His curse will be used sparingly.
Victor | Reaching Fate 0/10
This can only work in one way, that being his way of revenge. If anything were to happen to his children, then the people who were responsible would have to pay.
Darius Vogel | Clairvoyance 8/10
His curse makes for a good discipline system. His child does something wrong? He'll have to show them the worse that could happen if they make that mistake again. Is it violent? Yes. Over the top? Absolutely. He would use his curse as much as is needed, but it definitely makes for a frightening experience.
Ring Schwartz | Forced Friendship 2/10
Ring's ability may build trust. Picture his child is being unreadable, rebellious and just in their independence phase. Ring can easily manipulate them into trusting them so they follow his advice. But, do I think he'd use it? Probably not. It would work for a little while but eventually it would fade away and he'd be back to square one.
Nica Schwartz | Forced Charm 5/10
This would indirectly affect his child. He won't be able to use it on his own kid but he might use it on his partner, child's tutor, or practically anyone else who's connected to his offspring to benefit them. Oh, his child saw a dress she wanted? Nica can charm the sales clerk to get it for her at the price of nothing. Nothing too crazy but it would come in handy so he'd use it.
