10. How did your character come to learn the tricks of their trade? (Combat or otherwise!)
Maril was taught by her parents, both conjurers, and grandparents- also both conjurers, before eventually progressing into Stillglade Fane and going on from there. Around age ~15 she moved to Ul’dah to pursue skills with Alchemy whilst still maintaining her studies in Conjury; which lead her to have no social life what so ever. She’s had a gifted and “easy” start to her skill-set, so to speak. Her weakest skill within the skillset is anything that pertains to offensive conjury.

From Part IV: Fucking with Fuckery
“Right, workshop, I can do that,” Lucius said, considering, “So… Theseus slew the hydra—”
“—Hercules,” Stede corrected.
“Whatever, literally does not matter,” Lucius said. “But what if instead of slaying he...” he trailed off, waving his hands invitingly.
Stede mirrored his motions like he was catching whatever ideas Lucius was wafting toward him. “If he… if he… had a bit of a chat with the hydra?” he offered, scrunching his nose. “No? No good? I can tell from your face it’s no good.”
Lucius gave a short sigh. “Stop getting so discouraged it is incredibly off-putting,” he said neatly.
“Good point,” Stede said, “write that down.”
“Later,” Lucius said. “Stay focused. What if Hercules seduced the hydra…?”
“Oh.”
“Dominated the hydra.”
“Oh.”
“Made the hydra feel like a naughty little serpent and spanked”—he smacked his palms together—“that monstrous ass until scales were imprinted on his massive, manly Greek palms!”
“Oh my word.”

Stede pulled back and gave Ed a satisfied look. “I believe ‘tame’ was the word you used to describe the Lady Alexandre’s wardrobe?”
“Yes?”
Stede held it up. “Then how does one explain this?”
“It’s a corset,” Ed said, face gone a bit slack.
“It’s a corset,” Stede confirmed.
Ed whispered urgently, “It’s black leather and it’s a corset.”
“It does appear to be leather, yes.” Stede’s face pinched as he examined the thing. “Amazing how they got all those whale bones in there. How did they even—” He gave it a sharp tug at either side. “Thing’s stiff as a plank—Ed? Are you alright?”

I like the theory that “Joel Morricone” is actually McCree’s pen name and undercover identity because it fits in with my headcanon that he’s really into cinema and filmmaking (with a particular fondness for Westerns). If that’s true, I imagine he knows a thing or two about writing and probably knows how to write film scripts, and is self-taught. If the headcanon that he’s also a good singer/guitarist is added it’s a little bit juicier bc the name “Joel Morricone” is probably a reference to the music composer Ennio Morricone.

What's your favorit album from Opeth?
All of them.
Their best being My arms, your hearse, but I really like the story of Ghost Reveries.
