This morning I crafted up some protection oil. This can be used for anointing candles, spaces, yourself and anything you want to protect. Let's look at the recipe
✧ Sunflower Oil
You can basically use any carrier oil. I use sunflower oil because it's inexpensive and carries sun properties of healing and happiness
✧ Pink Himalayan Salt
Salt has great protection properties and pink salt is great for enhancing spellwork and it's powers. A little boost for everything else in the oil
Sub: any salt you associate with protection (normal salt works too)
✧ Rosemary
A great catchall but I infused the intention of protection into this rosemary for the oil
Sub: Any herb you associate with protection. Sage and juniper are others
✧ Lavender
It smells nice...and also! It's good for inducing a sense of calm protection. When protected with this oil, I want to feel calm and safe
Sub: Any herb associated with calming. Like chamomile! (Tea bags anyone?)
How do I put it together?
☾ Gather your herbs. To start the intention train, make sure you know why you're grabbing each ingredient. Think about it. This begins infusing your ingredients with intention
☾ Place the ingredients into a mortar and pestle, thinking about the intention of each. This can include a keyword (protection, calm) and also thinking about the feeling (how does it feel to be protected and safe?)
☾ Grind the ingredients up into powder while thinking of intention. You can infuse while grinding clockwise to bring protection
☾ Add a bit of powder to little glass jars or whatever container you would like to use for your anointing oils
☾ Fill the rest with oil. Leave air room to shake it up
☾ Enjoy! (Shake before every use! The powder will sink to the bottom)
Welcome to a new series I'm starting: "Living with Intention" where I compile lists of mundane tasks that you can infuse with intention for different deities or divine purposes. As a follower of Hermes, I'm going to start with him!
Are you about to order a drink from a cafe or Starbucks?
Let's order something with strawberries. How about that strawberry and cream frappe? A wonderful spiritual offering for the fleet-footed deity and a sweet treat for you.
Choosing accessories to wear for the day or maybe an outfit?
How about we choose something with the colours that you associate with Hermes. For me it's orange and red.
Need to remind yourself or someone else about something?
Make sure that message gets delivered! You wouldn't want to let that message go undelivered right? Be on your feet and do what you can to get this reminder across clearly and appropriately.
Along the same line, feeling a bit down?
Write a letter to yourself about what you enjoy everyday and about yourself. Letters are a great way to let our your feelings and Hermes can guide your writing.
Having a day out?
Embrace the wind and FLY. Fast, trickster Hermes is racing you, you better put up competition! Feel the wind against your face and smile. If moving isn't something you can do, feel the wind from a window. Hermes is laughing in the wind and racing it.
See a phase in another language in a piece of media you're watching or reading?
Do some research behind the phase. What language does it come from? What does it mean? Why do people say this?
Need to make a decision?
Roll some dice or flip a coin. Life's a gamble.
Wanna have some fun with dice and a coin anyway?
Make some bets with Hermes and see who wins.
Nice day out? Friends free? Let's go on an adventure.
Even if it's just in your backyard or at the park, make fun out of it in the name of Lord Hermes!
Have a bit of spare change you don't really need?
Leave it somewhere random for another person to find and feel lucky.
Playing games?
Remember to have fun and make the most out of your time. It's just a game but doesn't mean you can't have a hell of a time playing.
Found a patch of clovers?
Pick some (and thank them!) and blow them from your hand like a dandelion while making a wish.
Some bopping music playing?
Dance and vibe like NO ONE IS LOOKING. Well, Hermes might be, but he's also vibing. Join in!
Have a speech to present?
Imagine Hermes is in the crowd cheering you on. He's proud of you.
Feeling lucky?
Celebrate it with laughs and cheer.
Wanna do some writing?
Hermes is right by your side. Let's do it!
A loved one going for a drive?
Wish them a safe drive. Hermes will help them along the road.
Here is a post I made on my instagram (@veaer.green) but I'll share it here with you guys too. Some protection magic methods that may be useful to you! And some extra additions at the end. Let me know if you want me to expand on any and I'll make a post on it
A long post on making prayer sachets for the archangels and some theory behind prayers (from a religious and secular pov)
Welcome back to another angel work post. Today I'm going to be talking about prayer sachets.
Prayer sachets are small baggies with corresponding herbs and ingredients to an archangel to hold when you're praying to them. They provide a simple point of focus through sensory properties such as scent and touch, and can also work as a charm since you charge it every time you pray using it. They can also power up your prayers/petitions.

1.5. Is it wrong to pray to the archangels? Can I pray to God/Source
instead?
2. My prayer sachets
3. The process
Recipes can be found in this post.
Let's go over prayers first
The most important thing when praying is to ask for what you need or want in a clear and succinct way. They don't need to be long winded and old english doesn't need to be used.
Prayer comes from the Latin word 'precari' which means to ask in earnest. You should pray from the heart and at the end, you can say what fits your style such as 'and so it is!' or 'amen'. I find myself saying thank you.
Is it wrong to pray to the archangels? Can I pray to God/Source instead?
Really, you can pray in a way that fits your spiritual belief and tradition rather than getting held up by religious dogma. For me, I see archangels as beings I can pray to as they either carry out the request or send the request to a higher source to deal with it. It can be helpful to pray to archangels instead of Source because the archangels have their domains and can make the requests more focused.
If you follow a religious belief, then you're also welcome to take that up. You can pray to your god instead as well as the archangels as their helpers.
The main thing to remember is that the archangels don't discriminate by your belief as long as you're putting in the effort and treating them respectfully.
My prayer sachets
Here are a couple of pictures I took of my prayer sachets. I was meant to make one for Haniel but I put too much content in one bag and ended up splitting it into two.
So now I keep one on my altar for praying and the other hanging up by the window to welcome and honour the Archangel Haniel in my life. While it is a prayer sachet by intention, it also has properties of protection and corresponds to the qualities of the archangel! I can charge it to welcome those aspects into my life.
You may notice there's a third one there. That one is for Archangel Uriel and I made it for my boyfriend who can use it in times of need. While he isn't an angel practitioner, we do have angels that look over us. Haniel and Uriel are our sun angels.
The process
Here is a guide to making your own prayer sachet. I would suggest making one for the archangels you primarily work with. Currently for it, it's my sun angel Haniel.
1. Choose a recipe
You can choose one from this post for different archangels. You may work with an angel that isn't listed, or you don't have all the ingredients and that's okay.
I do recommend having at least the rice, essential oil/fragrance and also some herbs, but the herbs don't need to be exact. What matters is that you understand how the herbs contribute to the prayer sachet and align with the qualities of the archangel. I had to change the recipe for my Haniel prayer sachet as I didn't have all the ingredients. If your angel isn't listed, research into what herbs and fragrances correspond with them to use.
1.5. Set a date and time
The archangels have corresponding days that are best to work with them on. For example, Haniel is friday and Uriel is saturday. You can work with them at any time during this day but for the best results, go with either the 1st or 8th hour of the day or the 3rd or 10th hour of the night. Lunarium can help you figure out what hour is hour #8 for example (it goes by sunrise and sunset). I made my sachets on the 8th hour of the day since it suits my day well (around 2:33pm for me, at the season of posting).
By now, if you're looking to work with an archangel, it's suggested that you already know their day but I can make a post in the future to list them out
2. Gather your supplies
It's best to have what you need ready in your workspace whether its a desk, kitchen table or altar. This way, you won't be getting up to find something in the middle of working which can pull you out of the moment.
3. Set up your space
How do you set a spiritual atmosphere? You can light a candle, burn some incense, play some soft music or whatever practices you have to blend the angel's and spiritual vibrations into the process
4. Bring it together
I have a small bowl where I first add the rice and the essential oils. Then I mix. During this process, you can infuse your intention by picturing the archangel in your head and imagining what their presence feels like (this is how visualisation goes). Think about how you want to establish a connection and welcome them to your life.
Now you can start adding the herbs and noting in your mind what they do and how they correspond. For example, I add herbs of venus to my prayer sachet and note the qualities that match Archangel Haniel (rose petals - compassion, harmony, love).
Once you've mixed them up, you can add them to your little baggy. This works with small drawstring ones which I use and find at the dollar store. You could also use some cotton or felt and sew it up if you have that around. If anything, you can use a jar if you can't access the other methods.
5. Charge it up and pray
Here we go. You can hold your finished product in your hands now and work on charging it. This can be the same process as your previous visualisation or thoughts of the angel and how you would like to connect with them.
From here, you can do a small prayer to the archangel asking them to bless your prayer sachet and to welcome their presence during your prayers.
There you go! Now you have a prayer sachet to use with your archangels to boost your prayers and develop your relationship with them. I hope you enjoyed the post and let me know if you have any questions.

"When it comes to structure and routine, I find that it's helpful to think in terms of practices that are daily and those that are occasional. Daily practices typically include attending our spirits through communication and offerings. As such, you might begin your day by pouring a cup of coffee for your ancestors or speaking with the land wights on your walk to work. You might leave out a bowl of honey for the Fair Folk or end your night by expressing gratitude to the Witch Father and Witch Mother.
Magically speaking, you might carry a charm-bag in your pocket for healing or repeat a chant for promoting a sense of calm during a stressful day. You might light a candle to increase concentration when studying for an exam or recite a spell for protection while driving.
These are all examples of simple ways you can practice your Craft each day. I recommend finding at least two small acts of Witchcraft that you can engage in every day."

Everyday Magic, morning routine edition! Let's go over some things I did this morning as part of my not so consistent but witchy nonetheless morning routine.
Woke up and brushed my teeth + washed my face for cleansing
I didn't do this but I can recommend it: moisturizer on your face and body in the design of sigils
Lit my deity candles and said good morning to them
Sat down with them for a little with crystals and meditated
Wrote 25 things I'm grateful for in my manifestation journal
Changed the water in my deities' offering cups
Brewed some lavender black tea and drank it
Sprayed my veil with Hekate mist to promote clarity, decision making and to embody some Hekate vibes
Wore my veil as an act of devotion and for energy protection
Shook my lavender oil that is infusing
Picked a piece of witchy jewelry for the day (I chose my pentacle pendant for protection! Maybe I'll do a post on my jewelry)
Anointed myself with protection oil
What are some things you do as part of a witchy morning routine?
This is a series of posts where I record some everyday magic I do from small things to bigger things. I also post about book quotes I find as I research more witchcraft that can apply to everyday magic.
