I wanted to use up the scraps from my sewing projects somehow so I made these cute MLP themed wrist band pin cushions. They are made of up-cycled scraps minus the elastic and puff paint.

I'm only making these as I have scraps and won't be repeating any designs. But I also am not really sure how much I want to charge for them? Obviously not the best quality or anything as each one took only 30-ish minutes of labor. But if you see one you want or have a theme/design that you would snag up in the future, hit me up!

How to:

... Using sticks, stone(s), paperclips, a hair tie, 3 foldback clamps.... and utilizing the lever laws...

New quick upcycling project just dropped:

the pipe box/ cylindrical box

Made with:

- 7 pipes of empty tapes (approx. 25cm diameter, and 5 cm length) [three of them got cut thinner to become inlays]

- masking tape [to stick the parts together]

- 2 fitting bottle caps [the bottle caps get screwed onto two thinner pipe inlays that stick out on the two ends of the pipe box]

- 4 thick rubber rings (that are not too tight) as decoration/weight) (I used 4 silicione ear flesh tunnels for that. (body modification supply/jewelry))

I had a little too much help from my fluffy staff yesterday, so before I start working, I thought I'd keep them occupied by making new toys. My spoiled brats have tons of toys, but just like bored toddlers, there's nothing to distract like a new toy. I took this long scrap of quilt batting (it's a stiff wool/rayon felt that I use in my art quilts), folded it in a tube and stitched. I cut the tube into three pieces and stitched across one narrow end. Then I stuffed it with polyfil and a few sprinkles (maybe a quarter of a teaspoon) of catnip and stitched it closed. Less than 5 minutes to make three catnip dumplings and I have happy (and occupied) kitties.
