Who are your mains/fave rp partners? Why?

I don’t have any mains really. I love all of my partners, but like with real life, there are a few of my partners that I’m closer to and talk with out of character more than any of the others. I hesitate sometimes in doing asks of this nature because I do not want to make anyone feel left out, but I feel that isn’t fair to me either. I love and adore all of my partners and our plots/threads so this is in no way a slight against anyone not listed. 

@amongxashesxembers - Love all her characters. They are so welcome and inviting. Just like the mun that portrays them. I’ve gotten super close to her since I returned to my blog last summer, and I am pretty sure I’d be lost without her. So never go anywhere, okay? <3

@boltsandashes - We talk almost every day. Pretty sure she gets sick of me, but oh well! She’s opened my eyes to a lot of different things I never gave much thought about when it comes to Daryl Dixon, and I love that so much. So happy I didn’t let anxiety keep me from approaching you that day when I did. <3 

@burnslikefire - Syd, I don’t know where I’d be if you and I weren’t friends. I am pretty damned sure that you’re my bestie in the roleplay community. Yes, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we always come back together and work things out. I love you, honey! I’m proud of you for knowing when you need a break and knowing you can trust those that love and care about you to understand that you do. Not going anywhere, honey buns! 

@doginthecorner - You and I became better friends through a rocky time in my roleplay life, and I’m so glad that you chose to keep me around. I love that just about any Caryl plot that comes into my head that you’re game for doing. I cannot wait to see what these two chuckleheads get up to! 

@its-a-superpower - Woman! I wasn’t really into the whole pairing of Connie and Daryl, and for the show, I’m still not, but our threads give me life. They are so unique and completely different from anything I’m doing with anyone else. And you? My dear, you are hilarious as all get out and just a true gem and a joy to have as a friend. I’m so happy you came into my roleplay life and became my friend.

You and I have had it super rough, but we’re still here years later fighting that good fight. I wouldn’t have this blog if it wasn’t for you and your characters and all the plots/threads that we have going on. I don’t care if they take us 50 years to complete, I’m in for the long haul! Love you! 

@sassysurvivor - I know we don’t get to roleplay or talk much anymore, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love and adore you. You’re always on my mind when I’m on here. I miss seeing you on my dash and all your lovely muses. You were the first (and only) to indulge me with my rare pairing of Lori/Daryl, and I can never thank you enough for that. Just know that I’m always here if/when you return.

Barely Holding Onto You || Carol & Rick

Carol rocked the feverish child quietly. Judith (and all of her two-year-old self) had come down with some kind of mild cold-like virus that had been making its rounds within the compound. It made sense for her to catch it sooner or later. She had hoped to keep it from her, but Carl had come home sniffling and sneezing (no doubt from kissing and cuddling with Enid), and she knew then that it was only a matter of time. The only blessing was that Daryl and Aaron had managed to find Alexandria a new doctor to replace Dr. Pete after Rick had executed him over a year ago. 

She looked up to see that Rick was back from his nightly patrol of the entire fence. She smiled as Judith’s soft snores finally filled the air between them. She dropped a soft kiss to the top of the girl’s head. She was grateful when Rick moved to her to take the child and help put her safely into her own bed.

She stood up as Rick lifted Judith into his arms and touched his arm gently to stop him. “I have dinner waiting for you. I’ll just go and warm it up. Come join me in the kitchen when you have her tucked in?” She let her hand fall back to her side. Things had definitely shifted with the pair of them over the last three hundred and sixty-five days. For the better. And she was grateful to the man for allowing her to stay in what probably should have been his home with his children.

Second Chances [Lori & Rick]

Lori stepped under the hot spray and let it beat down on her tired and dirty body. She welcomed the scalding heat with abandon and for a second she was back in Kings County in her own home with her life still in tact. The dead hadn't walked the earth. Rick hadn't been shot and lost to her for so long then returned from the dead.

She was content with that train of thought until images of Shane Walsh invaded her brain. Images that were not all unwelcomed. She had taken up residence in his bed for comfort, for the fear of being alone had eat her up inside. She closed her eyes, leaning against the wall for support on one hand and tried not to let the tears that began to form fall and mix with the water from the shower.

She heard the bathroom door open over the sounds from the shower, and she held her breath. She just wanted to be with Rick and have his arms around her. They all had a full belly and more than their share of wine and her head was all swimmy, but she knew that Rick could make it all go away with a touch and a kiss and whatever else he wanted from her. She'd give it to him. Freely.

Having him come back from the dead and alive, she had rethought all the choices in her life. And she vowed to be a better wife. She heard the shower stall door opening and turned then, only her head and caught his eyes.

{Catching Fire} Charley & Rick

Charley had settled in fairly quickly. You had to in this day and age, but she hadn't rested. Not like the others. She'd busied herself cleaning their cell block, and making sure the kids were comfortable and had blankets. It was only when she was alone at night did she let herself think of the things she could bring to this place. Structure for the kids and discipline, too.

Her head snapped up at the sound of running feet. She smiled to herself for a half a second and then called out, "Now, children, no running. You know this is our home, and we do not run in our homes, do we?" When she got a chorus of 'No, ma'ams', she smiled again and pointed. "I'll talk to Tyrese and see if it'll be safe enough to go outside and play for a bit." 

When they all cheered, she put her hands up again. "No go over there and wait patiently..." They all obeyed and were talking excitedly among one another. She longed to give them so, so much more. There was no excuse for ignorance. And that was one thing she would talk to Rick Grimes about.

She found Sasha and told her of her idea to take the children outside, and the young woman had nodded in agreement and went off in search of her brother. She then glanced back at the kids and was about to return to them when she caught sight of Rick.

She had to jog to catch up with him. Her pistol tucked into the back of her jeans. "Rick? Mr. Grimes?" she called out. "I'd like to have a word with you. I mean, if you have the time..."
