Went fabric shopping for something else; ending up getting these too. Anyone interested in an owl themed quilt later? It will have to be after I'm done with all these bug quilt commissions, but I think it would be a lot of fun. I'm already imagining the stitching with a gold colored thread.
Looking for Moby Dick / Quilting help
this is a very long shot but... I need to design & execute upon a baby blanket with a “Moby Dick” theme. I have not read the book and despite sitting through several hours of a read-a-thon for it, know very little beyond-> dude chases whale. Goes poorly.
I enjoy coming up with my own quilt patterns but am drawing a blank atm on how to do this... I’m willing to do some, but not excessive appliqué. Would prefer to piece it but... what? how? It’s a baby quilt, so thankfully aiming small.
A rough idea is below the cut but I’m very open to suggestion...
Christmas Quilt Projects for 2025
Small collection of the quilting projects I am looking for the 2025 Christmas season. Now I am not sure if I will make any of these, but I don't want to forget which ones I was interested in making. Plus the sooner I get them set down the easier it will be to remember them when I get the urge later to work on Christmas stuff. Why now in January? Well it is the time I am least interested in Christmas stuff so I am most realistic in what I am interested in making, not just caught up in the spirit of the holidays.

Sooo, I’ve got my Fen’Harel plush to finish, some cosplay stuff to do, a baby quilt to design/sew/quilt, and Halloween purses to complete, but.... after. After that, I think I am going to make a large decorative quilt similar to this design.
I only just read this book for the first time last year, but I am a huge fan of Bradbury’s works, and it was amazing. The first chapter alone is filled with such imagery, it’s fantastic. <3 And it would make an amazing quilt, especially if I added little LED lights....
I know I just finished a super busy quilt, but I feel like this fabric would look good with the striped quilt top I made. It would be a good around the house blanket.
