A patchwork quilt fit for a spring fairy picnic, with vintage floral fabric found at an antique shop. I finished this quilt top last spring. It only took me eight days to make, and then it took me another year to baste, hand quilt, and bind. Not that it actually took that long, it’s just that I kept putting it off for other projects. But such is how these things go sometimes!

I finished my little practice quilt for my kitty, my first proper pieced backed quilted and bound little quilt, and I am being forced to confront my ego yelling at me that I should be just as good at this as someone with 50 years experience on me (some of my dream quilts' quilters) from having done it for a week at most.

I suppose it's not so bad for a first try. If I point out the mistakes I've made it wouldn't be productive, but I hope to improve on my precision with practice. I got diagonal lines! I got half square triangles! I managed to bind it! It's not perfect, but it's done and my tiny little tuxedo loves his tiny little quilt.

I finished in May (2024) but I've been procrastinating uploading the pics here. Anyways, here it is, my BED-SIZED SHARK QUILT, approximately 4'x6' (1.2m x 1.8 m). Mixed machine and hand-stitching. Took me about six months to make.

Patchwork Quilts and Infinity Symbol Stimboard

Day 4 of Gaystims Disability Pride Month Prompts List.

I decided on doing the patchwork quilt which for some is a symbol for DID. I understand if you personally do not like it, but I like it as a symbol - even though it has its issues. I also decided to include the infinity symbol to represent neurodiversity and my autism. (I will be making a second board for this prompt).
