really need to work on machine sewing Harley's quilt together tomorrow, I definitely wanna get that one done soon, but in the meantime I have found a project for my scrap hexagons and I have thrown myself full force at it. behold, the patchwork hexagon heart. each fabric has a maximum of two hexagons, and there are 123 in the heart
I started joining it together tonight and I'm really happy with it so far, the goal is to have it finished by February for my mom's birthday. the patchwork is gonna be outlined by forest green print hexagons and then the remainder of the shape will be filled in with a patchwork of various green fabrics, some patterned and some not

I finished my little practice quilt for my kitty, my first proper pieced backed quilted and bound little quilt, and I am being forced to confront my ego yelling at me that I should be just as good at this as someone with 50 years experience on me (some of my dream quilts' quilters) from having done it for a week at most.
I suppose it's not so bad for a first try. If I point out the mistakes I've made it wouldn't be productive, but I hope to improve on my precision with practice. I got diagonal lines! I got half square triangles! I managed to bind it! It's not perfect, but it's done and my tiny little tuxedo loves his tiny little quilt.
