Quincy's Tavern

Good morning! I have an awesome surprise for this blog today! Catarina and I went out to get breakfast and went to Quincy’s Tavern. We were one of the only ones there at the time and were able to get a step by step tutorial on how to make our cinnamon twists! My EyePhone caught it all on video so I am happy to announce “Quincy’s Famous Cinnamon Twists” to Astaria Eats. Don’t go too crazy at home, if you get a stomach ache. It’s on you.

Headcanons about Quincy's Tavern

I posed these to a D&D campaign I'm in forever ago but I really wanted to share them here. Obviously inspired by quincylk on tiktok

• Traveling/pocket dimension tavern. It's in every city the party goes to. And one time after a rough fight, it was outside the dragon lair, still bustling with patrons.

• Questions about Quincy's past yield little results. Awnsers are either vague or the subject is changed without the patron noticing.

• Efforts to seduce, charm, or intimidate are 100% ineffective, but he will laugh and admire your effort, or give you a pointer.

• Do. Not. Try. To. Steal. Results range from Quincy being nice and giving you pointers and/or a job, to being pickpocketed of the value of the items you stole, to being tossed (literally) out the door by a hulking 8 foot tall bugbear. You don't want to roll that dice

• Quincy can break up any fight that occurs, from a party squabble to an all out tavern brawl.

• There is always live music playing. Bards get a 20 minute set each, and wait their turn with the sign up sheet. Performers always make a killing, even the ones who are newer to the Bardic gig do well. Quincy never asks for a cut, but he almost always gets one.

• There's always rooms available. Quality of said rooms depends on how much of an asshole an individual is and how badly they are in need of a good night's rest.

• Quincy knows everyone who comes into the tavern regularly, from the shadiest criminal guild member to the Prince of Saffron.

• Orphans get a free dinner, he knows them all by name.

• He has potions for everything, from health potions to cures for stage fright.

• This man simultaneously knows all the gossip and is the most trustworthy individual for when you need to vent or a shoulder to cry on.

• He can, will, and has kicked out creeps, multiple offenders are barred for life and no matter how long you wait or what disguise you use *Quincy knows*

• Has an instant hangover cure, but is picky about who he sells it to.

• Army of Orphans, not sure how it fits in but Army of Orphans.

I just basically imagine Quincy as this low-key God or something similar who instead of, idk, hanging out with the other gods just chooses to hang around mortals because he admires their enginuity and determination and desire to be more/ do good/ party like madmen. Gods are boring after 1000 years, mortals create so many interests things.

Garlic Wands

=

Ingredients

- pizza dough

- 1/2 stick melted butter

- parsley

- sage

- rosemary

- thyme

- garlic powder and/or minced garlic

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425 F.

2. Cut to 1 1/2 inch wide(3.75 cm) and twist.

3. Mix the melted butter, herbs, and garlic, and microwave.

4. Brush the twisted strips with the herb butter

5. Bake for 10-15 min.

6. Enjoy!
