I saw a Spiced Cranberry Cider under Holiday Healthy Potions. If you have this one, that would be wonderful.

Holiday Health Potions: Spiced Cranberry Cider
Ingredients
2 oranges
1 pod star anise (the whole star, not just one slice of it)
3 whole cloves
5 black peppercorns
½ cup honey or maple syrup (or your own preferred unprocessed sweetener, if you like)
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
6 cups of cranberry juice (Quincy doesn’t specify, but given the extra sweetener, probably 100% juice, not the sweetened blend that you’ll often find)
Optional: pomegranate seeds
Optional: wine or liquor
Instructions
Peel your oranges and put the peels aside for now. Break the oranges into slices. Put your slices in a bowl or glass and mash them until they are all one mass of orange.
In a large pot, mix orange mash, orange peels, your sweetener, spices, and cranberry juice, and spike if you like. Turn up the heat to medium high, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Let it cool if you like, or serve it warm. Before/as you store or drink it, strain out the spices and fruit from the liquid. You can either use a colander scoop to scoop the spices and fruit out of the pot or put a strainer over cups to catch the flavorings as you pour cider into them.
If you have pomegranate arils, put them in the cup before ladling/pouring cider over them.

Quincy's Winter Soup
Ingredients
2 onions, chopped
4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
1 Tbsp minced garlic
8 oz sliced mushrooms
Parsley, to taste
Rosemary, however much you like
Oregano, of what amount it pleaseth you
6 Tbsp flour
1 quart water
1 tbsp vegetable bouillon
16 oz uncooked gnocchi
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
Chop your onions, slice your mushrooms
Heat the butter and oil in a soup pot until melted. Add the chopped onions and sauté (that is, cook over direct heat while stirring them around) on medium high heat until they’re soft; this should be 2-3 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until you can smell it.
Add the mushrooms to the pot. Cook these until they’re soft, about 5 minutes. Season with your preferred amounts of parsley, rosemary, and oregano.
Add flour. Continue cooking the vegetables, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes until the flour is incorporated.
Add water. Stir again to get everything moving. Add vegetable bouillon and stir in.
Add gnocchi and season with salt and pepper as you please. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
If you’re planning to store the soup for later and reheat it, stop here, let it cool and put it away.
When you are ready to serve the soup, make sure it’s hot. Then add the heavy cream and stir it in until the color of the soup is all lightened and any streaks are gone.
Note: Since peppercorns and pink salt aren't always available (or cheap), and not everybody has or wants to buy a mortar and pestle, you could substitute already-ground salt and pepper and skip step 1. If you find this doesn't work, please tell everybody in the notes.

I'm case no one has ever spelled it out to you, person reading this post, "cook for 30-40 minutes" means "Check on it after 30 minutes, if your oven runs hot it might already be done. If it's not done put it back and check again in 5 minutes. Don't exceed 40 minutes or it will probably burn in even the slowest oven.
This is the pattern you should follow if you have never made this specific recipe in this specific oven before. After you've made it, mark down on your recipe how long it took in your oven (or what time it burned so you know to check sooner next time) .

A human rights crisis that demands your attention.
As always, I recommend following Erin Reed's Substack for updates on transgender legislation. She's a journalist focused on tracking U.S. trans laws and politics.
Another good beginning point for getting involved is locating your state's local Equality Federation organization, who are probably tracking these bills and carpooling to state capitols to testify against them.
Most importantly, open your homes and wallets for those fleeing their homes or stockpiling medication.

In the last week since this was posted, England has also banned the prescription of puberty blockers only for trans kids.
Please reblog this piece if you see it. For the last five years of fighting these bills, only people directly affected by them have cared or been vocal about them. This is the least amount of engagement one of my works has had. It's really isolating and frightening.
