I’ll probably start to get to them this weekend. I have 2 in so far. Dantana/Quinntana related prompts please. Or even solo Santana prompts (I’ll do those in first person). I currently work every day from 7-3PM then I stream on Twitch most evenings. I want to use my weekends for other things, including writing :D Please continue to send in ideas. I’ll reply to the message with the story if I’m able to get something written out. You could also come say hi on Twitch to me: https://www.twitch.tv/jencey86
Same universe as the other two Quinntana fics were in. Quinn’s very heavily pregnant in this one. Just wanted to write a little fluff before lying down to take a nap.
Santana was exhausted, to say the least. She’d spent a majority of the day putting together the crib that her parents had gotten for them a few days before. The week before that, she’d emptied out the entire office and painted it to turn it into their nursery. That meant she had to move the computer and the desk. Thankfully, the desk came apart so she was able to move it down into the basement by herself. With Quinn nearing her due date, Santana refused to let her fiancée lift a finger to help her.
“We’re hungry.” Quinn spoke softly as she walked into the nursery and smiled toward the Latina. “It’s perfect…” she made her way toward the crib and ran her fingertips along the solid wood railing.
“I thought you were in bed relaxing?” Santana cleaned up the debris left over from the assembly before closing up the box and standing up. “I’ll go make us some lunch. What are you in the mood for?”
Quinn licked her lips before humming and tapping her chin for a moment. “Some left-over pizza… and the rest of the chocolate pudding you made me yesterday.”
Santana just chuckled softly as she rested her hands on Quinn’s stomach. “Go climb in bed. I’ll get lunch for us. Then I’ll rub your back. I know it’s been bothering you a lot lately.” She leaned in as best as she could to press a soft kiss to her lips then smiled. Santana pulled back to gather up the trash to take it downstairs with her.
“Okay, okay.” She decided that protesting wouldn’t help at all as she went back to their room and climbed back into bed to continue watching the movie she’d started about an hour ago.
When she made it to the bottom of the steps, Santana let out a big yawn. The exhaustion wasn’t going to go away anytime soon. Quinn was due in three weeks. The late nights would just continue until they would be able to get their daughter onto a normal sleep pattern. And, based on everything she’d heard and read, that could take months, sometimes even over a year for it to happen. Santana went out to the garage to throw the trash away before getting some pizza out to heat it up for them. She got a separate bowl for the remaining pudding, just for Quinn before gathering everything and heading right back upstairs to their shared room.
“I started smelling that as soon as the microwave dinged.”
“I’m sure you did, you always do.” Santana teased her as she handed her the plate with the 3 slices on it then sat down beside her against the pillows. “I’m not really that hungry, so I’ll be okay with just a few bites. You and her can have the rest.” Santana shifted some and patted the space between her legs for Quinn to lean against her. “Come here.”
The blonde picked up a piece of pizza to start eating it as she slowly moved herself in between Santana’s legs and leaned back into her. “I’m always so afraid I’ll hurt you when I do this.”
“Hush. You won’t hurt me.” Santana scolded her softly as she started to rub the girl’s shoulders slowly. “Bite?” She asked and rested her chin on Quinn’s shoulder.
“I suppose so.” Quinn turned her head to offer Santana the pizza then before kissing her jaw gently. “It’s my lower back that hurts the most.” She did her best to lean forward to give Santana the space she would need in order to get to her lower back.
“Yes ma’am.” She pressed a soft kiss to Quinn’s shoulder before leaning back against the headboard so she could get more comfortable.
It never mattered to her how tired she was, Quinn and their baby would always come first in her mind. What Santana hadn’t realized though, was just how tired she actually was. The longer she worked her fingers along Quinn’s lower back, the slower her touch got until finally her head nodded forward and she fell asleep.
“Baby?” Quinn asked as she glanced back at her. The blonde had wondered why she’d suddenly stopped, but when she saw the Latina when her head resting down against her own chest, she just smiled to her. Quinn had seen how much she’d been doing around the house the past few weeks and knew that no matter how much Santana told her she was fine, that she was actually quite exhausted.
Moving as slowly as she could, she grabbed the blanket to pull it up and over her fiancee’s body. “Sweet dreams, baby.” Quinn pressed her lips to Santana’s jaw before putting the empty plate to the side and curling into the girl. When Santana hummed softly and started to wake up, Quinn looked up at her. “Go back to sleep, baby.”
“But I have things to do.” Santana started to protest. But when Quinn wrapped her arm tighter around her middle, all she could do was sigh.
“Stay here with me and go back to sleep.”
Santana slowly nodded to her and shifted down the bed so she could properly hold her fiancée. She rested her head on the side of Quinn’s stomach and her forehead against the blonde’s before closing her eyes again to let sleep overtake her once more.
