uhh this is where I show I don't actually follow too many fandoms... so i'll go with something i'm familiar with and say @plantamagicae writes a very good willow! i can really hear the character voice through the writing and all the interactions are fun to read!

💻 ― excellent writing

@light-imperfected or @sageshadowed or the now gone Ishmael blog (rip). i am not biased lune's writing motivated me to write more and get better for over a year now. it's got a good flow and just the right amount of flair. i frequently reread their threads and not just the ones we had together

📚 ― nice threads to read

hmm i enjoy many threads that come onto my dash... i suppose lately i have had most fun reading @amoirsetpacis threads! there's a big variety in vibes there and the writing itself is really good so i like to check them out whenever i see one on dash, sometimes even when i don't have the context of previous replies

😍 ― admiring from afar

@schleckermaul is the one that comes to mind. i don't think our characters would have much of an interesting dynamic together but i still enjoy seeing the threads and headcanons and whatnot whenever they are on dash!

🏆 ― 10/10 blog, would recommend

@eusyram now that she's back, i have to give a shoutout to one of the funniest/most interesting oc concepts i know! give mary a follow or you hate fun

(also breaking my rules for this one to shoutout an indie blog i greatly enjoy which is @inmiasma. 10/10 cast of characters, 10/10 writing, what else can i say. check them out if you're in indie spaces at all)

“Dating prospects? What are you talking about?” the other scoffed before wondering, curiously, if he should just mind read the answer for himself. 30 minutes a day wasn’t much time to use an ability, but it wasn’t like he was going anywhere anytime soon.

He’s been at it for hours. Just him and his sword, cutting away at air and nothing else. He’s been practicing his form, working on sharpening his mind, soul and body. He may be in training with Lady Reines, but when he isn’t training with her, he trains on his own. He can’t afford to rest after all. 

But damn...

Damn....he’s actually pretty exhausted. Maybe he should’ve taken it easy. 

Klaus exhales softly through parted lips and rolls his shoulders back. Just stretching ever so lightly. At least he’s somewhere quiet. Though he knows it can’t be for long. One day, he’ll have to train where there’s lots of noise. He has to be ready. But for now, it’s quiet. Just the way he likes it.

Today, Byron was putting on the charm, making his enterprise seem more magical than it was. His clothes were well pressed and, with a handful of small, non-venomous snakes curled around his palms and arms, he was a sight to behold. 

And the unintended amusement small children got from the one snake who was loitering around his neck, curling about in his hair, and generally being a nuisance, was good as well. 

A little annoying, but any attention, regardless of if it had come from an intentional play, was good for a busker. 

He stood behind a small table, draped with a cloth reading, ‘BYRONS’. Varying sizes of bottles littered the top. Byron had a small crowd, ooo-ing at his apparent ability as a ‘snake charmer’. 

“For years, I have perfected the art of sssynthesizing poisons, and, their sssubsequent antidotes. Today I present to you poisons and healing medicaments created from the venoms of Ssspirale’s local reptiles! 

Keep yourself and your loved ones sssafe with my antidotes; just like gauze, it is better to have it when you need it, then be without when you do!”

Naturally with the Saturday midday arrived, the Golden Apple was swarming with patrons eager to sink their teeth into Kirschtaria’s creations. Having been fortunately there, Arturia had jumped to lend her services in aid before he and the waiting staff could be swamped by the plethora of orders  It was in the midst of hauling out a recycling bag that Arturia had come across an individual tucked into the darkness, evident he’d rather not be perceived. His voice was hushed, but with their distance from the bustling behind brick wall and door, the girl could hear clearly enough to make out his end of the conversation.

And what a scheme he had.

Certain that such a scenario couldn’t be true, not in this city, she hadn’t the certainty that his plan could truly be what it turned out, clear as day, to be upon his clarification that it was a bomb. He was... preparing something terrible. A horrific act that would cost lives of any number. Since birth, a strong sense of justice had been drilled into her by her father, her brother’s influence. They might not have been part of the world anymore, but they would turn in their graves if she didn’t act. She’d never be able to live with herself. “Hey...”

her voice began uneasy, in need of mustering the courage to do what her father would have, as his daughter. She owed him that much. “HEY!” From the hiding place behind the dumpster, she stormed, throwing down the bag and eyes ablaze. “What the hell was that about?!”
