Oh, sorry anon, I think there was a miscommunication here! This is the post anon is thinking about. What I was talking about was how Dæny could try and claim she is the rightful heir despite the presence of Ægon VI and Jon, because I think I figured her argumentation out.
Obviously, if Jon is a bastard, he has no claim to the throne unless he was legitimized. (This is actually why I worry about R/L. Ratgar died months before Jon was born, and legitimization would probably have been difficult. If they were married, however, there is no doubt as to Jon's legitimacy.)
But I was talking in a hypothetical prediction as to how she could present herself as the true heir, not the actual present situation or succession.
The obvious path with Ægon VI is to pretend he's fake. As far as Westeros knew, he's been dead for fifteen years, and enough people doubt his identity already both in-universe and here in the real world. If he's not who he says he is, that's one problem dealt with.
Jon, however. All of this depends on a) Jon's title by the time R+L=J breaks, b) his relationship with Dæny in the past and at the time, and c) the exact nature and legitimacy of the union between R and L. If Jon's a bastard, that just makes him a desirable possible husband. If he's a king still, more so. If he bent the knee, that solves all issues, really. He could openly bend the knee under his real name and marry Dæny and restore House Targaryen (in her dreams!).
But if Jon's legitimate. If he's the confirmed son of Ratgar by his second wife. If there are eyewitnesses (Howland Reed) and other documentation (marriage certification, possibly annulment of Ratgar's first marriage - which I doubt, but I don't put it past GRRM - a birth record...). Then what is Dæny to do?
Easy. Claim this is all fake. Either Jon is a bastard who knew from the start and trying to steal her throne Blackfire style, or he is still Ned's bastard son and stole the idea from Ægon VI.
Now if neither of the claimants are really Ratgar's sons or bastardized, this leaves Dæny as the only trueborn Targaryen in the world. Which is what she has always based her claim on. And then there's the "Fire Lizard Mommy" thing...
So that's it. I was just speculating about how she could claim herself as the rightful heir to the throne despite not one, but two male, senior line claimants who are older than her existing.
