A relaxing weekend meant random outings. Today’s just happened to be a plant spot his girlfriend had found on Yelp. As excited as she was, Scott couldn’t say no. He could, however, reminder her of the limitations they had compromised to as they got ready. “Now, reiterating the debate of last night: You’re only allowed one new plant, today.”

March 14th had come and gone. more specifically, Lakyn’s birthday. A rather quiet celebration as it was a Thursday, but Scott had planned more than their home meal and binge of her favorite films. It was now Saturday and he had woken her up with a couple of delivered roses and yellow dress he’d kept hidden in a closet he knew she wouldn’t find. They had then spent a rather long time in the spacious tub together. A ‘spa time’ of sorts to get nice and clean after having some fun as well. But the hour was drawing near 5:00pm and they were out, dried, and in the stages of completing the task of getting ready. Scott having kept a rather tight seal on just what was going on save his request of her wearing her special necklace and the surprise garment. The rest were up to her.
Fixating on his image in the mirror, the man fussed with his hair. Part of him wishing he’d gotten a trim before this. His suit on for the most part. Just his shoes and jacket would be the final touches. That and the matters of the loose bow tie hanging under his collar. “Lakyn, are you almost ready? I want to be out of here by 5:30 for our reservations.” He announced again for roughly the third time today. @iakyn
It had been a busy day and night welcoming students and staff alike back. The dinner was done after his big speech from the sorting of new students and now everyone was getting up from their empty plates as was he. Speaking to his sister, briefly, Scott’s tall frame had caught sight of the fairly new professor in charge of the creatures and their teachings. Giving the beautiful woman a slightly awkward smile and nod of acknowledgement hello.
