i haven’t *finished* early years so im not sure if anything about crowley’s backstory was said but i wanted to share a few thoughts. Imagine that he learned to whistle from a old lady who lived across from him on the street. she was old and her children and grandchildren had all left town and had stopped visiting her. [enter crowley] suddenly a new light in her life appears. He listens to the old lady’s stories again and again teaching crowley some of the stories he knows today. crowley’s personality was so musical and bright but he couldn’t hold a note. so she taught him. He learned to whistle, learned to sing and even learned how to play a couple of instruments. the most important thing that he learned is how much it can help people simply to have a ear to hear. one day after crowley had finished training under pritchard, he learned that morgarath had sent soldiers to route out true supporters of the young prince duncan. in their quest, they killed crowley’s old friend. after that day he learned another lesson. how to hate someone.
