Writing is hard... like, the more I write this, the more I feel like I’m diverging from canon, and I don’t like the feeling. Rey is hard to write, and I feel like I’m inventing a lot more of her internal world than I want to when exploring her.

Oh well, I’ve just gotta think of it like a thematically specific exploration in a very certain direction that canon may never take. And I don’t even have to agree with myself when writing from her POV next time. I’m just trying to figure her out. And that’s ok. Most people will suspend disbelief. I can take liberties, it’s fine. It’s fine if it’s just bad, too, that’s also something I can learn from.
