i am once again reminding everyone that food is getting more and more unsafe every day and your best bet for maybe not getting sick is to buy from small farms, farmshares/csas, and local small butchers if you are able. most farmers' markets take food stamps (at least in washington), and sometimes food banks are given donations of produce from local farms if you can make it to a more rural-ish area, so there may be options!
at least in my state, the regulations on small butchers are MUCH higher than those of commercial slaughterhouses, so they are way less likely to deal with contamination issues.
if you have to buy from a store, cook your veggies, no runny yolks from store eggs, avoid prepackaged or preprocessed stuff that you don't cook, make sure you thoroughly cook your beef, DON'T FUCKING DRINK RAW MILK, and maybe avoid poultry for now
and make friends with someone with chickens because they always have eggs they are dying to get rid of lmao
