An old comic idea I’ll be finishing soon. Essentially my vision for how vampiric Philip takes his dad’s death.

Philip Hamilton: I could save you, you know! I could heal you—make you immortal! You can still be there for the family, a-and I could guide you, so you won’t be-

Alexander Hamilton: Philip. I love you… more than words can describe. [Pause] But I would rather die [t]han become what you are.

I'm actually really intrigued by the Vampiric Philip AU and the one where Hamilton gets shot by Lee... so either or!!!!

I’ll share a snippet from the “Hamilton gets shot by Lee” one!

Washington’s personal office was compact. While definitely bigger than the average camper’s tent (and even bigger than Laurens and Hamilton’s own shared tent), it was only as big as it had to be to allow walking space around a desk. Compared to a war tent, which was meant to house many men to converse over battle plans and supply chains, this office’s smaller size made Laurens feel uncomfortably boxed in. The only reprieve was the exit at his back.

Washington himself was currently standing at his desk, staring him down.

“Lieutenant Colonel.” He acknowledged.

Holding a respectful soldier’s stance, he responded, “Your Excellency. You wished to speak with me?”

“That I did.” He approached him with a scrutinizing stare. “I want you to explain what transpired this morning, and how it came to the conclusion of my secretary and subservient general both being shot.”

Laurens took a deep breath and answered him: He explained Lee’s vicious mockery of the commander in chief; he explained the shared anger between Hamilton and himself against Lee for both his brazen opinions and incompetency in battle; he explained how they attempted an apology, but Lee refused, so Laurens enacted a duel to defend the leading General’s honor. At this, Washington interjected with a voice like crackling firewood:

“I am not a maid in need of defending, Lieutenant Colonel. I am your superior; I am his superior. The only person who has to worry about my reputation is me.”

“He was actively sowing division amongst the troops-”

“No! You are actively sowing division amongst the troops!” Washington’s voice rose as he stormed over to him. “Do you have any idea how this makes us look? How this makes me look? My men are fighting amongst each other, aggravating our southern allies by attacking a man they wanted to lead them—and now those allies will be turning to me for answers! They will be looking at me with more scrutiny for not controlling you! My secretary is now shot because of you dragging him into this!” Washington’s face was inches away from him now. The tent was too warm for his breath to billow like smoke, but his burning-red face was more than enough to make up for it.
