An implied Bloodymary comic for my friend @av-the-art1st! Based on her AU where Simon and Grace are both kids in Eden, and Grace starts questioning too much. (Not sure if she’s posted abt it, but I am allowed to post this, so here’s a preview!)

Been really obsessed with @raphalorem's fic the great tribulation lately and have been recommending it to everyone interested!! They write them so so well and hits just right on the mark of my own personal characterization it's awesome. And their doodles foreshadowing future scenes?? So fun to look back on every time I finish a chapter

I love that Grace says he and Rocky "haven't run into anything where our cultures clash" while they're actively navigating two pretty major points of difference. From Grace's perspective, being watched in your sleep is sort of unnerving; for Rocky it's imperative. From Rocky's perspective, eating is taboo and private; for Grace it's a casual, social activity. When Grace says they haven't run into any culture clashes, he's just woken up to Rocky watching him and now he's eating breakfast. It's obviously not true that they have no conflicts in their social norms! It's just that they instinctively accommodate each other with curiosity and empathy, finding ways to bend on the things that matter to each other and explain when something is really important to themselves. Grace has spent his life holding other people at arm's length, and then in Rocky he meets someone who makes him want to do the work, and that work becomes so natural he doesn't even realise he's doing it.

i hate how many posts about trans women deserving respect always devolve into "I love girldick" or "trans rights but I don't want to date a trans person" because that's entirely unrelated to the topic at hand. you should not respond to feminism with "YESSS I loveeee you because I see you as nothing but a sex object" you people sound like other men I get stuck talking with that end up saying "free the nipple so I can see boobies in public" and thinking they're feminists. why can't we just respect women regardless of your attraction to them or not. why does it need to be brought up in every conversation regarding their rights

I’m watching Frankenstein 2025 and I do think the Creature is a great way to see Simon.

Like he was created and molded into a monster, but he is naturally gentle and curious. He has anger that drives him to kill because he was TAUGHT violence. But those that give him understanding, he is soft spoken and holds hope for something better.

They both were remade by some “god” that only cursed them to live in a body that was torn to shreds and wrongly put back together. Denied personhood, just wanting to live, suffering from those that shifted the narrative and pointed the finger.

My god. They even look the same.
