Headcanon that Baby likes to chew the lollipops he eats in the movie. He can’t do so in public, but he’s cracking those bad boys backstage CONSTANTLY.

Vampire!Philip still swings around in my mind, so enjoy some doodles of him <3
The final doodle is a visualization of what I imagine being trapped in a vampire’s trance would feel like. All you see/are allowed to focus on is them. Nothing else. I messed with the filters on that one a lot more than the rest to heighten the vision.

The next two doodles are stacked on top of each other. The first features Philip’s vampire teeth being studied by a curious George Eacker (as portrayed in Hamilton the musical). Both have their waistcoats as their outermost layer of clothing, and both have their highlighter sketches visible below the ink. Eacker is sketched in pastel yellow while Philip is still sketched in pastel pink. The doodle below them is surrounded by black hatching, and is implied to be Philip with the pink sketch. It features Philip’s shirt half-removed to expose his fatal bullet wounds now diamond shaped and with noticable, pink veins stretching out from them. These two doodles are featured in the third photo.
The final doodle is of Philip staring directly at the viewer, who looks up at him from a worm’s eye view. No sketch is visible underneath heavily hatched ink. Philip’s waistcoat is, once again, his outermost layer. He smiles down at the viewer with wide, red eyes and noticable fangs. One strand of hair falls in front of his face. His ears are long and pointy, unlike the other doodles where his ears are normal human ones. The background behind him is full of red and black swiggly lines. This doodle is featured in the fourth and final photo.

Anywayyy, I lowkey regret the yellowish-green highlighter I added to Hamilton and am actively decieving myself into liking it because ehhhhhhhh, it kinda looks like that sickly-green decay color… kinda… The problem is I didn’t color either of their skin, so does it really?

Coincidentally finished this on the main man’s birthday! Happy 271st birthday, John Laurens! I hope I outlive you.
This art is for my In Memoriam AU, where Laurens survives the Battle at Combahee River with the caveat of amnesia. I’ve got a rough idea for the AU, which focuses a lot on many facets of his life, but this art piece focuses on his relationship with Hamilton—or, the lack thereof after he forgets (nearly) everything.
Now for some fun facts and the ID for the drawing!
The flowers surrounding them are from paper wrapping for some soap bars I bought from Colonial Willamsburg, Virginia, last year! i was lucky enough to go with a friend, and they have this gift shop full of period-accurate(?) trinkets for you to buy. (There was a book they sold called, “On Love, Courting, and Marriage,” and I regret not buying it every day…) I scrapbooked the wrapping for the sketchbook page I originally inked this on, and then I took pictures of both the inking and the paper cut-outs to digitize the piece.
The background elements are mostly for me (and also funny only to me), but the backrgound has two different pictures overlayed over each other for textural effect: a layer containing text that fits the scene, and a zoomed-in picture of a wrinkly dollar bill I have.
This post was originally gonna go up two hours ago, but my dad was watching a movie where Anthony Ramos played a role, and I was smacked in the face with the fact that, yes, this man has freckles, and I forgot, so I rushed to add all those freckles by hand.
